What does the orange exclamation point mean in the corner of a dataset icon

Looking at datasets in the data section... sometimes a dataset has an orange exclamation point at the top in the corner of the icon for the dataset (see attached picture).

when you hover/click on it... nothing happens.  What does this mean?

thanks,
Jeff H.

  • Try going to the associated dataflow for that dataset and click on history. It is likely that the dataflow failed and that is why you are seeing the exclamation point on the resulting dataset.

  • @Jeffsnake I'm having the same experience and when I go into the associated dataflow, everything runs as expected and there aren't any failed errors.

Anyone have any other ideas for the exclamation point? Thanks!

  • I have the same Q. There's nothing wrong with this data set or ETL that generates it. So why does it have a ! on it?

  • I concur with MarkSnodgrass. It is supposed to indicate an error, which you should see if you look under history.

I don't think that's it, I got it too and everything ran fine BUT, I'm assuming (lack of information about this from Domo), it is showing that orange warning because there was no data to update in the last run. When I view the history of the dataset all runs have a spanner icon in the Action column except the last one which has an "i" for additional information. Domo should add this to the documentation OR show, if what I'm assuming is correct, the status of that last run with the "i" when I hover over the orange icon
