change dataset owner, more than 50 at once

So for example we have a member that has 1000 plus dataset in his name and he quit. now we need to change the owner,

and in the admin page, you can do it by 50, in a set. It will take forever to change the ownership of 1000 datasets.

 

I am thinking of creating a custom app that can do this but I can't find the right function.

Any ideas?

I'd highly recommend looking into the Command Line Interface (CLI - see https://knowledge.domo.com/Administer/Other_Administrative_Tools/Command_Line_Interface_(CLI)_Tool) tool. It interacts with the API for you and you don't have to write a custom app to do it. There's even a specific command to do exactly what you're looking for.

 

swap-owner: Transfer ownership of Alerts, Cards, Groups, Pages, Reports, DataSets and/or DataFlows from one user to another.

I found a dataset API actually, but this is a backend code, which means I can't use this is a custom app?
