Adding up values based on a date range

In Beast mode how would I add up criteria in another column based on a date range? Refer to my attached picture: I would like to have a pie chart for 2019 and 2020 that adds up the various values based on a date range.

    You can avoid even doing a beast mode if you put your date column in the pie name and then adjust your date range filter to graph by year. This will group all of your dates by year and do the work for you. See screenshot.
