Is there a way to remove users from the default group?

Is there a way to remove users from the default group? I am trying to add a user with very limited access (i.e., just 1 dataset in the instance.)  and do not want them to have access to the default group. Does anyone know how to do that? Thank you!

    I'm having the same issue. I was able to remove the default group before but something has recently changed. This is an issue for our profile set-up.

    Bumping this as we are encountering the same issue. This is a serious blocker for our workflow.

    You have to go into the default group itself and in the member at the top...x that user out.
