convert number to text

When I upload my excel sheet, the numbers are all formatting as numbers containing commas.

 

How can I get DOMO to see as text?

Can I achieve this in excel?

 

I dont want to have to perform a transform everytime I upload an excel sheet with numbers.

    Your best best is to create an ETL that reads in that sheet and have it use the 'Set Column Type' option to conver the column in question to a text field. That should let you keep uploading the sheet as needed and have it always read that column as text.

     

    Then just replace any cards that were using this Excel sheet as a datasource with the new ETL output.

    The easiest way that I have found to do this is by using the Domo Workbench.  As part of the set up, you can set the schema for each field:wb.png
