Drilldown From Custom Maps

Hi, 
I added a regional map and think that this functionality is great. But, I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how to use that when drilling down. Ideally I'd like to start at the country level (US), then be able to drill down to Region level (custom map addition), and then from there be able to drill down to Zip Code. I've tried this in the way drilldowns work without custom maps, but it isn't working. Can someone please help?

You can create a regional map by following the documentation below:

 

Creating a Map with Regions

You will then need to have all of the values that you want to drill on within one dataset, and have a drill path which contains a table chart of that data.
