How would I add event labels (x) to a line chart (y) so that I could see what events affected y?

Ugh! that is something not currently available in Domo, but they announced last week in Domopalooza that coming soon we will have the ability to add that type of notes to cards.
Maybe somebody from Domo in the Dojo can find out an approximated date of the realese of that feature.

They support this to a certain extent with the Annotation feature.
Check the attached images for screenshots of how to do that and what it looks like.

Yes. This is what I was looking for.
However, I would like DOMO team to consider these.- X-axis currently needs to be Date. A smaller granularity such as Hour and Min should be allowed.
- We have to put annotations manually. Automated annotations using the information of the dataset which the card is based on should be available.
In particular, the lack of #2 capabiity will prevent us from utilizing this annotation in our use case.
