Export dashboard to another DOMO instance
Hello everyone,
I'd like to know if there any way to copy a dashboard from one domo instance to another one including all of the cards. Let's say I want to move a dashboard from abc.domo.com to xyz.domo.com. Both domo instances have the same datasets/dataflows with the same schemas and data, only the dataset name might be different. I need to automate this process because doing it manually is really time consuming and comes with the risk of doing mistakes or missing important things.
I don't really know how this can be achieved. I don't see any option within the Domo UI. Perhaps there's a Domo CLI command that can help here or maybe it can be done by building a custom app.
I'd appreciate any idea or comment about it.
Re: Built in data table functionality & arrows
I'd agree. Have two separate cards, one for the line + bar and the other for an HTML table where you can have up and down color-coded arrows.
Here's a post I did talking about architecting your data for PoP comparisons, which gives you more flexibility:
And here's another post about how to do custom colorization within a beast mode:
You can include a custom unicode character of an up or down arrow depending on the direction along with the color.
Re: How can I display amounts for different months in a table in Domo?
You can use the LAG function to calculate prior row values. Here's a previous post I did talking about LAG and doing a rolling average:
Re: how do you add the remarks in DOMO beastmode?
You use the SQL format for comments which is two dashes -- in place of a hash #
Re: Date filter
CASE WHEN `Date` >= CURRENT_DATE() - INTERVAL 6 DAYS AND `Date` <= CURRENT_DATE() THEN 'YES' ELSE 'NO' END
This will check if your date is within today and 6 days ago (Tuesday - Monday using today as an example) You can tweak it if you want to look at 1-7 days ago.
Re: Remapping nulls in Analyzer
The remap nulls likely isn't working because the data contains blank spaces instead of actually being null.
I would suggest dealing with this by creating a beast mode in Analyzer that looks like this:
CASE WHEN LEN(TRIM(fieldname)) >= 1 THEN fieldname ELSE replacementvalue END
This will trim out all the spaces and then check the length of the field. If it is at least 1 character then use the existing value. Otherwise, use a value you want to replace it with.
