Extend Date Range selection beyond 2029 for 'Graph By' Year in Date Filter
Currently, there is a hard-coded limitation in DOMO cards for the Date Range on a card (or Date filter on Dashboards) so that only years until 2029 can be shown on the x-axis. We cannot show bars for years 2030 or beyond for long term forecasted values using Graph By Year functionality.
Even though I have dates for every year until 2040, the rows in the dataset for dates beyond 31 Dec 2029 are not loaded in the rendered card display. The date range is cut short to 2029.
The only way I can achieve more bars is by grouping dates by year and displaying x-axis as integer value of Years. But I want the leadership to be able to pick Next 5 years or next 10 years or next 20 years using Date Filters on card or the dashboard.
I wish the product limitation on Date Range is extended more into the future by 10 or more years so that prediction models can use the Date Filters without data getting truncated.
Wrap Header but not rows in Tables(Pivot mainly)
Hello,
I was curious if you could add something, in the table cards(Pivot mainly). It would be having the ability to wrap the headers but not affect the rows. Here is an example of the "visual issue". It would look much cleaner if it didn't make that double row. Similar to an "auto align" but not crunching up the non-header fields.
Flex Table Improved Customisation
Hi all,
I've recently used a Flex Table and was shocked by the few available customisation options. Something as simple as changing my line's colour is seemingly impossible.
Improvements that feel essential:
- Change Header Colour
- Series Grouping/subtotals
- Change Line Colour
- Remove the Area under the line
- Change Decimals/abbreviations of calculated value numbers
- Additional Value Columns that aren't preset
I'm sure there are plenty more ideas from other users here. It would be great to see this captured below. This graph type could be compelling, but it feels incomplete as it stands.
Samuel.
Re: Adding Hyperlink to table values
Set your beast mode formula like so:
CONCAT('<a href="', `Link`, '" target="_blank">', `Title`, '</a>')
Let me know if you have any questions.
Logged-In User Variable
For a given card, I would like a variable that identifies the logged in user. I could use this value to, for example, conditionally apply a format related to that user.
Consider this example data:
I may want to display this information in a Table card, and highlight the row(s) related to me, because I am the person logged in:
I would want to use this variable in a variety of cards, including custom visualizations.
Ability to remove unnecessary columns directly in the input DataSet before loading all its rows
The functionality I require is already available in the MySQL and Redshift DataFlow…
…in this example deselecting "department" and "state" columns.
This option would make it possible not to load all columns for all rows in the DataSet.
I hope it will be available in the Magic ETL input DataSets as soon as possible.
Thank you for your attention.
Toggle to Display and Hide Cards on a dashboard
Adding a component to display/hide cards based on a toggle to open or close would be very helpful. We have several teams that like to view the same data in a different chart format and it would be nice to be able to stack all the charts but have only one main display and then they can use the toggle to open the additional chart(s) so the page isn't as long, but multiple dashboards to have to be created to accommodate everyone's preferences. Similar to the way websites work with "view more" or the Title with a + next to it and it expands when you click.

Auto Height and Width For Cards
At present, we have the capability to set only the width to 'Auto' in our dashboard. It would be highly beneficial if we could also set the height to 'Auto.' The current fixed height option is causing responsiveness issues with our cards. Depending on the screen size, it either adds a scrollbar or extra space. Allowing the card's height and width to dynamically adjust according to their content and the user's screen size would significantly improve the responsiveness of our dashboards.
