Re: Managing Data Retention Policy
Some interesting options gents but surely there could a more convenient solution towards lean data instances.

Re: Domo - delete data
I would add that after writing it to another dataset, you can request for those rows to be deleted via Domo Support.

Re: Empty plug in top left
Hi @Joshua98, welcome mate. So that 'M' logo seen in those videos is an example of a company logo of the instance users use. For your Domo instance, you can add in your company logo in place of that empty slot through Admin and then following the steps here: https://domohelp.domo.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043439053-Specifying-Your-Company-Name-and-Logo

A more flexible way to do Period over Period comparisons
Greetings! I see variations of this topic asked several times so I thought I'd write up all of the information in a singular spot for easier reference. Below I'll outline how I utilize my own date dimension table to have customized period over period charts, compare the current partial month to the same amount of time in the previous period (no more seeing your period over period percentage tank because the month isn't complete yet). I will also go over how to configure and set this up yourselves. Let's get started.
Start and End Date Filter Card
Right now, there's is no Filter card available for Start and End (Between) dates. You can only have this particular option as a Quick Filter within a card but not an actual Filter card.
This makes date range selection hard to implement for a dashboard view when you operate the filters using cards (there are specific reasons why some users would not want to enable page filters turned on - so the only option to do date filters is via Filter Cards)
Mega Table Subtotals: Need more flexibility
On Mega Tables, you can only subtotal by the left-most column. However, sometimes there are sub-categories within that larger parent category that also need to be subtotaled.
Please add the ability to subtotal by further depth. In the image below, I want to be able to sort the whole table by my first column, closing date, but really want to be able to subtotal then by my second column, Market + Show. Red lines indicate where I want to see further subtotals.

Add CTRL+click on cards to drill WITHOUT filtering
I know it sounds a bit crazy.. but I'd love to be able to set up two use cases for drill paths..
- EXISTING use case = drill and filter (done, great)
- NEW Use case = CTRL+click on cards to drill WITHOUT filtering = this allows me to design a new view of the same data using a different card type to expose more details, yet keep the top page really clean and simple.. (example card 1 = Bar chart, card 2 = pivot table). In card 1 i show data by one high level dimension e.g. AccountType, but in card 2 I switch to a pivot table showing the SAME data by both AccountType and AccountSubType.. so the user can see more detail from the same hierarchy of data..
of course you can drill and then "unfilter", which I suspect happens alot.. but it would be much easier to have a CTRL+click option to drill WITHOUT any filtering.. allowing the user to explore the SAME data in much more detail & using different graph options..
