Re: Trying to create visuals like PBI in DOMO
Welcome to Domo! Here are the steps to accomplish what you are hoping to do:
1. Click the + icon in the top right of Domo and select "Dashboard"
2. Over on the right side of the screen you'll see icons representing the various objects you can add to a dashboard, select the one that says "card" and click and drag into the dashboard.
3. Click "add content" and either select an existing card you've already created or create a new one
4. When creating a new card, select "visualization" from the new card options
5. The card type for the single value cards across the top of your screenshot are called "Single Value" and are in the Popular Chart Types when in card analyzer view.
6. The gauge cards beneath your single value cards are called Filled Gauge and are also in chart types under Popular.
7. The final chart in your screenshot is a line chart, also in Popular chart types.
8. Create all of these visualizations and add them to your new dashboard and arrange to your liking.
9. To add a solid ribbon with text select the text or header elements from the dashboard object ribbon on the right side of dashboard editor (similar to step 2).
10. If you do not see dashboard editor after your steps above, click the wrench in the top right of the page and then select "edit dashboard"
If you get stuck let me know!
Re: Replace part of string with another value in Domo Cards
Yes you can write a beastmode using Replace() , hopefully your values to remove are consistent.
you will need to replace within replace meaning one value at a time to replace all occurrences
for example start replacing the 1s , then a replace of 2s within the prior replace
here it is the code for your example , notice the last line is the actual beastmode to use
-- REPLACE(`String to replace`, 1, '') Replacing the number 1
-- REPLACE(REPLACE(`String to replace`, 1, ''), 2, '') Replacing the number 2
-- REPLACE(REPLACE(REPLACE(`String to replace`, 1, ''), 2, ''), 'Site', '') Replacing the 'Site' values
-- REPLACE(REPLACE(REPLACE(REPLACE(`String to replace`, 1, ''), 2, ''), 'Site', ''), ':', '') Replacing the ':' Values
REPLACE(REPLACE(REPLACE(REPLACE(REPLACE(`String to replace`, 1, ''), 2, ''), 'Site', ''), ':', ''), 'Checkout Initiate', '')
Re: Bi-Annual graphs
Hi
Building up on DanB's logic, you can probalby need the following too
Concat( Year(DateField),'-',
Case when MONTH(DateField) <= 6 then 'H1' when MONTH(DateField) > 6 then 'H2' end
)
Thsi way you woudl get
2018-H1
2018-H2
2019-H1
And so which you will be able to use as an x-axis
Re: Data transformation Question
@DavidChurchman the explanation from @MichelleH was really helpful. I was able to successfully map the data. Thank you so much
Re: Array Function in Beast Mode
@rmbourne I would recommend using the INSTR function instead of having to check every possible split like this:
case when INSTR(`enter_account_ids`,`account_id`) > 0 then `account_id` end
Re: Array Function in Beast Mode
@MichelleH approach seems like the more reliable option, clearly you'll need to tweak it a bit, since if for example your user provides 1013 as the Id to look for, this would match accounts Ids 10, 101 and 13 as well, if you know that the list of IDs will always be separated by spaces, then you could do something like:
CASE WHEN INSTR(`enter_account_ids`,CONCAT(' ',`account_id`,' ')) > 0 //Id is in the middle
|| `enter_accounts_ids` LIKE CONCAT('% ',`account_id`) //ends with the Id
|| `enter_accounts_ids` LIKE CONCAT(`account_id`,' %') //starts with the Id
|| `enter_accounts_ids` = `account_id` // Is the only Id
THEN 'true'
ELSE 'false'
END
Re: Calculating Differences based on the Value of a Column
Here is what the beastmode would look like for column A % change between pre and post:
(AVG(CASE WHEN Survey Type = 'post' THEN Score A END) -
AVG(CASE WHEN Survey Type = 'pre' THEN Score A END)) /
AVG(CASE WHEN Survey Type = 'pre' THEN Score A END)
You can copy and paste this for Score B and C - just replace Score A with Score B and Score C respectively.
Re: Isolating the max date for a date and time stamp
Hi,
Nevermind. I used ranking and just filters on rank 1 to get most current.
Re: Add rows based on Start and End Date
I walk through how to do this in this video:
