Re: How to find all Flows(MySQL) that contain a specific string
Hi @FXM32,
I believe you can accomplish this using the Java CLI and "List-dataflow" command. This will get you a JSON export that should contain all the SQL statements contained within the dataflow.
Re: Calculate a ratio
CONCAT(SUM(CASE WHEN `` = 'Forward to HM' THEN 1 END), ':', SUM(CASE WHEN `` = 'Hire' THEN 1 END))
You can use a CASE statement to conditionally SUM your records together and then use a CONCAT to put everything together in your ratio format.
Re: Can a workflow be used to set off a dataset update and ETL run?
@cgshinn3 you can accomplish more custom schedules using the streams API. Here's an example:
Re: CURRENT DATE Issue
Hello @user02830,
Thank you for the awesome question.
Currently Date/Time functions in beastmodes and Dataflows return the Server time. All of the Domo servers run in UTC time. This is to promote consitancy.
Using a function similar to CURDATE() or NOW() will return the date/time in a UTC format.
You can easily work around this by using a SUBDATE() function. For example:
SUBDATE(NOW(), INTERVAL x HOUR)
This will convert my date/time to my time zone based on the x hour I define.
I recoomend posting an article to our Idea Exchange section of dojo. Our product team sees all of these and will be able to look into the potential of creating a date funtion that returns the date/time in your timezone set in your company settings.
I hope you have a wonderful rest of your week!
Cheers.
Re: Group By "Concat Distinct" Now Live!
Really glad this is now available as a default option in the tile!
Re: Creating Alert to identify significant data changes from previous day
If you use the most recent value of the BOOKMARKETVALUEPERIODEND for your summary number you can then configure a card alert to detect a change for more or less than 5%.
Re: Hello from a new user!
Thanks! And, Yes; do it! It's an amazing resource if you're a naturalist of any level!!
Really excited to pull data from friends' entomology projects at different parks around town to see how I can add visual interest. Their reports so far have just been data tables, but I'm sure I can use that data to show something like species richness over time/season with phylogenetic drill-downs, maybe formulate rarefaction curves for potential unreported species. 🤓
If you do something similar or have any ideas, I would LOVE to hear about it!
Re: Copying characters to my computers clipboard rather than drilling.
You can try using your browser's developer tools to inspect the element containing the number and manually copy it from there. This method requires some familiarity with HTML and JavaScript.
Or export and then copy.
Re: Looking to create a benchmarking bar chart showing +/- % from prior year
This would depend on how your dataset is structured. Could you share some more info about your data? Is the prior year benchmark in your dataset already? Or would that need to be calculated as well?
I'm pretty sure this is doable with a beastmode and a trellis category.
Re: Looking to create a benchmarking bar chart showing +/- % from prior year
Hi @Stephanie_Price ,
I made you a video on how I would approach this and it's very possible:
I had to make some assumptions like @ST_-Superman-_ was asking, but I think we got it.
