How would apply the filter to remove weekend’s
Re: Calculate time between two dates during business hours, excluding holidays & Sat/Sun
Use a formula filter and exclude the dw field in the Calendar dataset where the value is 1 (Sunday) or 7 (Saturday)
`dw` NOT IN (1,7)
Alternatively you can do two filter criteria separately to make sure dw doesn't equal 1 and dw doesn't equal 7.
Re: Calculate time between two dates during business hours, excluding holidays & Sat/Sun
To exclude holidays, if your company follows standard US holidays, you can add the Domo Dimensions Calendar dataset, filter to isHoliday = 1 and then left join your main table to this dataset and then filter out any entries where there is a match.
If your company has a different set of holidays, you would need to upload that list and follow the rest of the steps.
Hope that makes sense.

Our CMM is someone who always shows up for the community when we need it the most. She certainly has quite a reputation, having been a community member for almost four years now. @Ashleigh is one of our OG coaches on the forum and has a knack for answering questions with a level of detail that shows just how knowledgeable she is in Domo. In January she participated in 19 discussions and received best answer for 12 questions. We can’t thank her enough for her constant support of the community!
Group By "Concat Distinct" Now Live!
I wanted to make a quick post to let you know about an update we made to the Group By tile in Magic.
In your instances, you should now see the ability to choose a new options when defining how a column should be aggregated in the Group By tile:
- Combine distinct strings separated by ,
This allows you to create an aggregate column that includes a list of distinct values rather than having to choose just the first/last value, a count of items in the aggregation, or a non-distinct list of values.
(Note: The equivalent in an expression/formula would be GROUP_CONCAT(DISTINCT argument SEPARATOR ', '))
While relatively minor, we think this change will make using Group By in Magic just a little bit nicer.
Let me know if you have any questions or thoughts.
Thanks!
Andrea (your friendly neighborhood Magic Product Manager)
Re: Calculating a % based on multiple dates
You could add a case statement
Case when curdate() > End Date then 1 else … end
where the … is your formula from above
