Hi @ryans1,
Are you embedding individual cards, or an entire dashboard in your product's UI? I've successfully been able to embed dashboards with variables in them using Domo Everywhere. Is there a reason you would need to call the variable via API instead of simply allowing the user to use the selector in the UI?

I'm late to the party but another alternative would be to explicitly have a 0 record in your dataset for the months you don't have any hires.

Our initial investigations on impersonating a user generated a few feasibility questions related to security risks from allowing someone to impersonate someone else and possibly take actions as a proxy. Impersonating a user bypasses the access controls and policies applied to the user who is impersonating and we need additional research on viable options. To help us find the right long term and potential short term workarounds, can you all help me confirm the below 'jobs to be done' that we should be solving?

Re: Renaming Columns and NOT breaking cards
Column names are case-sensitive when Domo evaluates if a column is the same or not. For example, ID is different than id for Domo. You can use the Select Columns tile in Magic ETL to rename columns and keep your cards from breaking.

@froghunter If I understand correctly, you want the drill to be filtered by both Group and Status. Mega table cards are set up to only filter the drill based on the value that the user clicks (i.e. if you click on the word "Open", it will include all rows where Status = 'Open'), but if you switch to a Pivot Table card it will allow you to drill by both dimensions

@lawiti Be sure to remove `Hires` from the Y-axis and `Segment` from the series. Line charts are set up to expect either one measure in the Y-Axis and one dimension in the Series OR multiple measures (one in the Y-axis and the others in Series). If you still have your segment in the series spot, it will not allow you to add more fields
parallel drill down
Is there a way to allow user to do a parallel drill down? Current drill down path is not interexchangable. For example, I wanted to show email open_rate and click_through rate trend in drill down. But I can only get open_rate chart first, then go to click-through rate chart based on the selection from open_rate chart or vice versa(sometimes, the selected field may not make sense for the next chart). It will be great a user can decide which drill down chart to see.
