Re: I want to host a webinar on how to automate all manual uploads into DOMO
VERY INTERESTED! @Mitch_Umbrellabi are you in the Slack community as well? I think lots of people would be interested in there as well.
Here's a link if you want to join:
can someone please help me for this question of magic etl
Magic ETL Activity
Using the DataSet in Domo you created using Workbench in the previous activity,
1. Use Magic ETL to parse the currency code from the "Transaction Amount" column and separate the amount and the currency code into separate columns.
Submit: A screenshot of the output of the data showing the different columns created.
2. Calculate the average time between orders. For each record in the DataSet, add a field showing the number of days since the previous order for that customer.
Submit: A screenshot of which customer has the longest average time between orders and what is the average number of days?
so this is my practical quiz, I have no experience in this but i got a job as business intelligence and I have to finish this course, I have no problem with questions number 1 it is questions number I am very confused about.
this is how I do so far, I use the rank window to create the rank and another to Calculate the average time between orders. honestly, I don't know if I'm doing this correctly, can someone please let me know if what I did is correct? please? also how can I show which customer has the longest average time between orders and what is the average number of days?
I want to host a webinar on how to automate all manual uploads into DOMO
If you find yourself spending an hour or more every week manually tweaking and uploading data to DOMO, I want to help show the DOMO community how automation can help streamline your efforts where a connector or integrations don't exist or resources are not available.
If this sounds like something you would be interested in comment below and we can schedule a time that accommodates the group.

Re: Snap to Grid functionality in Magic ETL
@skouzini Legendary! Thank you so much for this!
Re: Description of the changes made to every version of Magic ELT Dataflow
@lawiti The version description comes from what the users enter each time the dataflow is saved. You would need to add the description yourself for it to appear in the versions list
With the domojupyter.write_dataframe can you pass a specific schema?
Hi All,
Am trying to write a DataFrame to a dataset using the domojupyter.write_dataframe function.
The df in question has a field that is a Boolean, when I run the script and then check the output dataset in the domo Data section, the field has been created as an Integer and the entire column is blank.
Question is, can you pass a specific schema to the function so that all columns are created with the desired datatype? or is there a way to ensure Boolean fields are created correctly?
The workaround I have built is converting the column to a String then writing it, but I want to know if it is possible write it as a Boolean.
Cheers!
Re: DOMO Card Variable access via API
Hi @ryans1,
Are you embedding individual cards, or an entire dashboard in your product's UI? I've successfully been able to embed dashboards with variables in them using Domo Everywhere. Is there a reason you would need to call the variable via API instead of simply allowing the user to use the selector in the UI?
