Re: Can the dashboard imported to the APP studio be automatically updated and synced?
If you leave the "Duplicate all cards" box unchecked, then changes to the cards themselves in analyzer will appear in those same cards in the other location. However, design changes to the page/app will not.
Dashboard or app level changes will not affect the other content, but card changes in analyzer will.
Re: Percentage of values in a column
@agolla2 you can use a window function to achieve this.
SUM(SUM(value)) over ()
Then you can use that as an input in another beast mode (you could also combine these all into 1 beast mode). Best to separate it out if you will be using it in other calculations.
SUM(value)/total_hours
Which can then be used to generate your desired output.
A couple things to keep in mind. This window function calculates the total over all data. If you need to split by group, you'll need to make use of the PARTITION BY argument.
You can use the same approach to calculate % of tickets.
Re: Concatenating amount and number fields WHILE also formatting them?
My recommendation would be to do something like this.
CONCAT('$',`request_amount_recommended`/1000,'K', ' / ', ROUND(`Duration in Years`),' year(s)')
Which gets you this output.
I'm suggesting this because it's more straightforward than trying to build a beast mode that can account for variable length financial amounts. Knowing if and where to put a comma and how many commas will require a beast mode much more complex than what I'm suggesting above.
If it's very important that it's in the requested format, let me know and I can help you build that beast mode.
Re: row count at each step
@AndreaLovesData Just seeing now that you asked that question. I don't care if I have to hit run preview or if it automatically shows - if that's what you're asking. I just hate to have to output a new dataset at each step to see how many rows there are. I would hope that at least after hitting run preview, it would give us how many rows are in each step.
Re: row count at each step
Being able to see row counts without having to run the ETL would allow you to more quickly ad easily see errors in your etl build-out.

Re: row count at each step
Hi @AndreaLovesData, I'm not sure which option @ydigilov would prefer but for me, having this ability while authoring the dataflow as part of the previous process would be awesome.
