Campaign App email concatenation in distribution list
Campaign App distribution list only allows us to send one email individually to each person we want to send it to, with all other addresses in CC. As a result, each email address on the CC receives as many emails as it is referenced in the CC field.
As is possible to see in the image below, for example, email xx@domo.com and uu@domo.com will receive 4 emails each one, one for each email sent to the main sender since they are in CC of the 4 lines.
It should be possible to get the same behaviour as the "CC Email" column in the "Email" column.
More dynamic elements in the cards
It would be very useful if not only the "Summary" but also the titles of the cards could be made dynamic. In the summary you can put fields that do not exist in the visualization while in the title you can only put certain limited fields (filters, date, etc). It would be solved by allowing the inclusion of a field, parameter or beast mode in the title.
Dynamic axis/column naming
Using the controls feature in axis/column it is not possible to name that element in a card dynamically and accordingly to what it is selected in the control feature.
With this feature, if a control named "Dimensão 1", with options "Canal", "Divisão" and "Cliente", is selected to "Canal" in a bar or table card, instead of appearing "Dimensão 1" it would appear "Canal" in the axis or column accordingly to the type of card used.
Creating rolling averages in Magic ETL and de-emphasizing recent dates
At the most recent Domo Community Virtual Meetup, Michael Christensen demonstrated how to build out 90 day rolling averages using MySQL while also de-emphasizing the most recent dates in a multi-line chart.
I was inspired the demonstration and wanted to create the same thing, but using Magic ETL. In this video, I walk you through how to do it. I hope you find it helpful
Dashboard Color Themes
So I know we have chart colors in the Brand Kit, and several requests are already in the Ideas Exchange for a 'Dark Mode' type feature. If we combine the 2 concepts, you could just let users save their dashboard color configurations.
So, for example, you set up a dashboard with all the colors you want for the dashboard and the card backgrounds like you can now, but then have the option to just 'store' it so you can apply it to other dashboards. It would also be cool if you allow other users that access that dashboard to apply the theme you created or create their own and be able to make the theme available at the URL level. That way, users or administrators can configure their own versions of 'Dark Mode' or company-branded themes and then quickly change them for personal use vs. presentations, apply colors to newly created dashboards, etc.
Select All Columns in Remove Duplicates ETL Tile
Instead of having to add each column individually, it would be great if there was a select all columns feature for the remove duplicates step in the ETL.
Create a SQL tile within Magic ETL
It would be great to have a SQL tile within Magic ETL where users can write SQL much like what users can do with the Python tile.
This would open up the ability to do conditional joins and looping in Magic ETL. It would also remove some of the dependencies on MySQL, Redshift dataflows which can be very slow to run.
Salesforce Connector to create zero row data set if Salesforce object contains no records
Currently if a salesforce object has zero rows the connector fails to create a Domo dataset. If there is an ETL process that references this dataset (implemented via a sandbox process for example) then the ETL fails as the dataset is not present.
An alternative is that the outer join in the dataflow referencing the object defines its outer join functionality as object not present as well as no rows present, but I think a more 'best practice' solution is the first suggestion.
