👑The Legendary Head Dude— John Le— Finally Ascends to Coach Status!
If you were wondering why the Earth shook yesterday, it's because the Head Dude himself finally hit coach status. John Le, better known on the forum as @DashboardDude, is a certified Domo celebrity. If you've been around the community long enough, there's no doubt that you've heard his name come up at least a few dozen times.
It may come as a surprise to you that John wasn't a coach this whole time. The truth is, John has always been a Domo pro and we've been reaping the benefit of his expertise and creativity for a while now. He has spoken at Domopalooza, participated in multiple community meetups, and has a growing YouTube channel with dozens of helpful Domo videos. Not to mention, John is also a fantastic cook. We're thrilled to have him as a community coach and for his continued support. Congratulate John by leaving a comment down below. 👇️
Domo Stats for Triggered Alerts
We need to verify when Dataset Alerts have been triggered and who they were sent to.
Snap to Grid functionality in Magic ETL
Aligning the tiles in magic ETL can become quite cumbersome without any grid or guides for the tiles to line up with.
It would be great for the default behavior of tiles to snap to a grid or show guide-lines that signify when tiles are aligned.
Appends Should Default to Include All Rows
Appends should default to "Include All Rows" and not change every time inputs are added/removed. Huge quality of life upgrade!
Domo Documentation
HI,
with the aim of having in-depth documentation of what was developed on Domo for a client, I need to have detailed documentation of all the objects created.
In detail:
Card: in addition to the details that can be extracted via the DomoStats and DomoGernance connectors, it would be of interest to have greater details for each card. Example: Filters used, Metrics used, dimensions used, sorting set.
Dataflow: It would be useful to have the details of each Dataflow. Example: the various steps present within the dataflow if we are talking about a SQL, or a Json that exports all the transformations present in the Magic.
Page: Filters present within the page.
Has anyone had these needs? Is it possible to obtain this detailed information without resorting to a manual process?
Thank you
Expose date filter's start & end date inside beast mode
The date range filter will always have a start and end date.
I would like Domo to expose that start date/end date inside a calculated field as variables.
My workaround is to have the same variable for fixed date ranges (MTD, YTD, etc)
This would not be the case if Domo exposed the date filter variables inside Beast Mode Editor (e.g. DATERANGE_START, DATERANGE_END)

Domopalooza Keynote Speaker: Regional One
We're excited to share that we'll be hearing from Dr. Reginald Coopwood from Regional One on main stage at Domopalooza. Learn how Regional One is currently using Domo HERE.
Can't wait to see you all there!
Access Token Reporting
In trying to research which accounts an access tokens affects, I found that there was no way to do this. In the case of a termed team member we have no idea what might break when we delete their user if they own an access token. My suggestion is to add reporting around Access Tokens, specifically in DomoStats | Accounts. If the Access Token powering each account could be added to the data in that report we could easier find the Accounts that need attention when editing users.
Sankey Improvements
1) Allow more node width
2) Allow color control
There does not appear to be a way to fully display a Sankey diagram that is more than 5 nodes wide without it getting cut off. Here's what it looks like cut off (with no way to get a non cut-off image)
It is also impossible to specify what colors you want associated with each path, and there's no way to change the color of the circular paths.
And here's the same graph using RawGraph. note that 6 nodes are not too cramped to fit, and the circular paths having the same color as the path they came from makes them easier to interpret.
Implicitly selected grants are not counted on the Grants screen
The new implicitly selected grants, like Create DomoApps when Create DDX Apps is selected, are not counted on the role screen. If you choose the grants explicitly, they are counted correctly.
This also impacts the total number of grants shown (in the example below, this role would have 37 grants if Create DomoAps was counted).
This is a confusing experience in the UI and makes the counts unreliable.
