Re: Schedule App Studio Reports
Upping this! Our team is really looking forward to seeing this feature live.
Re: Domo alert question
I'd recommend the "Alert" functionality within Domo. From Analyzer, you can format these with the little bell 🔔 icon, or from within the Dataset view you can use the "Alerts" tab.
From there, it's a simple interface to set up the alert exactly as you want, what the message is, and who it should go to.
For you, you can set the "Metric" to Status and the "Meets this condition" to Changes
Bang!! Off to the races.
Is this what you are looking for?
Re: enabling embedded App Studio app to have export functionality
This looks like a duplicate of my request:
Just adding this here so votes can be combined.
Re: STR to Digit
@ColinHaze The STR_DIGITS function removes all non-digit characters, including decimal points. If dollar signs are your only issue, then I would use this function instead so that it only removes the dollar sign character:
CAST(TRIM(REPLACE(TRL_MISC3,'$','')) as float)
Re: How to change the owner of a App in Domo
You won't be able to change the owner but you can add another user as an Admin on the asset if you go under Admin > Asset Library and select the app you have published to your instance. You can also download the code used to build the app by using the wrench icon in the upper right and selecting "Download Assets". You can then take this code and remove the ID in the manifest file, run domo publish again to get a new application id and have a copy of the app
Re: Need Some Inspiration On How to Represent This Data
A heatmap can be an effective way to show which features are enabled for which users. Each cell in the heatmap can represent whether a feature is enabled (e.g., Yes/No or 1/0).
Pivot the data so that each row represents a user-feature combination.
User,Feature,Enabled
User 1,Feature A,Yes
User 1,Feature B,Yes
User 1,Feature C,No
Set the X-axis to Features.
Set the Y-axis to Users.
Set the color based on the Enabled field (Yes/No).
A stacked bar chart can show the total number of features enabled per user, and by color-coding the bars, you can differentiate between different features.
X-axis: Users
Y-axis: Count of enabled features
Color: Different features (Feature A, B, C, etc.)
Re: Sharing custom themes in App Studio
The design choice here is puzzling. The whole purpose of creating a theme is (usually) so that it can reused in order to easily apply the same look everywhere. To have a custom theme saved only to the app it was created in defeats the purpose.
