Re: Please Help - Cant get pivot table working properly
@TMonty0319 first thing to check would be to make sure you don't have something in your sort order that isn't being used in your pivot table.
Re: Any tips on how to clean Typo's in a dataset?
If you just remove the pipe symbols then you'd end up with a mix of "Company A", "CompanyA","Company B", "CompanyB" etc. so you'd need to replace pipe with a space. But if you replace the periods with a space then you'll have trailing whitespace. So I'd suggest you have two nested REPLACE() functions so that you can handle the different scenarios separately:
REPLACE(REPLACE(`Company Name`,'|',' '),'.','')
Re: Sankey Improvements
Posting here for visibility -
Allowing for color control in Sankey charts is essential, and unfortunately Analyzer doesn't allow for customizing the color of each node path.
An instance's "Chart Colors" configuration in Admin > Brand Kit applies to all charts, and this seems to be the only way to customize the Sankey path colors. However, this isn't a practical solution, since the setting would apply to all charts in the instance.
For example: This customer's Brand Kit "Chart Colors" configuration is a gradient of blue, so the default Sankey chart looks like this:
In Analyzer, the color settings in Chart Properties allows for a gradient between 2 colors, but does not allow for customizing each path, so the best we can get is something like this:
These options aren't the best at displaying the data, since it's hard to differentiate the paths. Adding color control would greatly improve the effectiveness of our charts, especially in Sankey charts.
Re: Sharing card with a user will automatically grant the user access to the dataset?
I just ran into this and am confused. When I use the Domo application, all I can see is the website GUI. I don't have access to the SQL tables that power the application. The same with this forum. I can interact with it, but I do have not access to the SQL tables. Why would Domo designers think it is a good idea that when providing access to view a dashboard or app, the Editor should be forced to not only give access to the underlying datasets, but to also give permission for the users to share those datasets with others?
MySQL Data Flows clarification: MySQL version & window functions (row_number)
I've neglected MySQL Data Flows because I'd passingly assumed that they were for MySQL-derived DataSets. It seems not, it looks like a MySQL DataFlow is a DataFlow that uses an embedded version of MySQL. Is this correct?
I've seen mention of Window Functions in passing, and assumed the MySQL must be 8.0+, as that's when MySQL added support for row_number(), lead(), lag(), etc. However, here's the version string I get out of MySQL inside of Domo:
5.6.28-76.1-56
So, no Window Function support.
Does anyone know if the internal MySQL is scheduled for an upgrade to 8.0+?
(Better: How about embedding Postgres as well....it's got a range of wonderful features not found in the MySQL family of SQL engines. :: alone for casting is worth the price of admission.)
Thanks for confirmation/clarification.
Re: Beast mode to remove "double quotes"?
You should be able to just use the REPLACE function like you mentioned:
REPLACE(`Client Name`, '"', '.')
How is your beast mode not working? What are you getting and what are you expecting?
Re: Number Abbreviation Options
This is very helpful for Financial Reporting and has been requested by our Senior Leadership.
Re: Number Abbreviation Options
Yes, consistent number displays to keep the dashboards easy to digest is important.

Re: Need help writing a Beastmode
Try putting your aggregation outside of your case statement
SUM(CASE WHEN `Age group` IN ('121-180 Days','181-270 Days','271-365 Days','366-730 Days','731 Days+') THEN `CurrentBalance` END)
