Re: Group By and Drill down
Gothca! Here are the steps:
1. Create a table card and add the fields Name, Age, and Birthday
2. Save and exit the card
3. Click the wrench on the card:
4. Click "Edit Drill Path"
5. Click "Add a view"
6. Repeat step 1 but with the fields you want displayed in the drill down view.
Re: Ratio Formula
You would create a beast mode with the following code:
(SUM(`Paid Amount`) + SUM(`Savings Amount`)) / SUM(`Bill Amount`)
Then you'd create a table card with the first column being the Name and the second column being the beast mode you create.
Here is a video on how to create a beast mode:
Re: Ratio Formula
Use add beast mode to create a new calculation using a formula like
( `Paid Amount` + `Savings Amount` ) / `Bill Amount`
Domo uses back ticks to enclose field names. Name it something like "Ratio". Save it and make sure it validates properly.
Also make sure you have no null or zero values in Bill Amount. Otherwise you will get division errors.
CASE
WHEN `Bill Amount` = 0 THEN NULL
ELSE ( `Paid Amount` + `Savings Amount` ) / `Bill Amount`
END
Magic ETL 1.0 rename Output Dataset
Hi, I am working on a dataflow to take an input dataset and write an output CSV file based on another vendor naming convention. Is there a way that I can automatically name the output dataset in this format? Example: Output dataset = CU_CSV_FILE_YYYYMMDD.csv so for today it would be CU_CSV_FILE_20210423.csv. thx!
Re: App Studio - Move/Copy Card Functionality
This is not just nice to have but it is must to have this functionality. I and many other users from our organization have best practice in place to click on move/copy and check if that card exists somewhere else before deleting it. Not showing app name on it is misleading and people may use productize card from App Studio.
Re: Star Schema and Snowflake Schema? Why is it not a thing in DOMO?
I agree with this. Domo should have a feature, lets call it 'Magic Data Model' that works like MagicETL from a UI perspective, but is a way of connecting your inputs similar to Microsoft Analysis Services, Snowflake or any other snowflake style schema typically used in cubes. Then when it runs, it crunches through it, creating all the necessary slices of data and outputing it to a special type of dataset that cards and formulas can sit on top of. It would solve alot of problems when it comes to updating historical data, or restating historical just because a dimension changed etc.
Re: Sankey Improvements
Originally, I thought it was because my chart had two many nodes, but even after restructuring so I only have 2 nodes, it's still cutting off the right side of my chart
Re: Move multiple cards from 1 tab to another tab in the same App?
Hello. This was asked 2 weeks ago:
The answer is no, and I recommended @deona720 add the idea to the ideas exchange. Not sure if that happened or not.
Re: New Guy Here - What's the Point of Apps??
@Jessary I still haven't touched Apps and have been able to accomplish everything we need with a normal Dashboard.
I agree though, I think the Apps are the faster bigger better cousin of the Dashboard, so once you go App you won't go back.
But for those of us living on Dashboards, we can continue because if it ain't broke….
