Sankey Improvements

1) Allow more node width

2) Allow color control

There does not appear to be a way to fully display a Sankey diagram that is more than 5 nodes wide without it getting cut off. Here's what it looks like cut off (with no way to get a non cut-off image)

It is also impossible to specify what colors you want associated with each path, and there's no way to change the color of the circular paths.

And here's the same graph using RawGraph. note that 6 nodes are not too cramped to fit, and the circular paths having the same color as the path they came from makes them easier to interpret.

  • Originally, I thought it was because my chart had two many nodes, but even after restructuring so I only have 2 nodes, it's still cutting off the right side of my chart

Allowing for color control in Sankey charts is essential, and unfortunately Analyzer doesn't allow for customizing the color of each node path.

An instance's "Chart Colors" configuration in Admin > Brand Kit applies to all charts, and this seems to be the only way to customize the Sankey path colors. However, this isn't a practical solution, since the setting would apply to all charts in the instance.

For example: This customer's Brand Kit "Chart Colors" configuration is a gradient of blue, so the default Sankey chart looks like this:

In Analyzer, the color settings in Chart Properties allows for a gradient between 2 colors, but does not allow for customizing each path, so the best we can get is something like this:

These options aren't the best at displaying the data, since it's hard to differentiate the paths. Adding color control would greatly improve the effectiveness of our charts, especially in Sankey charts.
