Selecting All in Filter Subset
Hey everyone,
I am creating a dashboard with checkbox filter cards based on a column with a lot of unique entries. Is there a way to select all the checkboxes in a subset as opposed to individually checking in each box? For example if I type the string 'apple' into the filter by search bar in the filter card, the filter card will return checkboxes labeled like...
apple1
apple2
apple3
apple4
...
apple100
I would like to select all of the boxes with the apple label, but as it is right now I would have to check off each box individually to display all data with 'apple' in this particular column. Is it possible to have a Select All option in a filter card?

Hi @faisalnjit
I've utilized a browser plugin to refresh the page on a scheduled time for some dashboards I've configured. Alternatively you might be able to utilize a publication to do a slideshow of separate cards and cycle through them on a timer (this doesn't support pages currently though).

The ds_get method doesn't exist on the Domo object. You need to access the datasets child object and then call get on your datasets.
from pydomo import Domo
clid = 'XXXX'
secret = 'XXXX'

ad = domo.datasets.get('XXXX')
ad

You can create a beast mode to calculate the first day of the week with this:
DATE_SUB(`dt`, INTERVAL (DAYOFWEEK(`dt`) - 1) DAY)
You would then drag this field into your table and then change your date filter to group by none.
@GrantSmith did a nice write up about this and other date functions here in case you want to dig deeper.

You can't add it to the data table, but you could add it to the tooltip fields and then show tooltip field 1 with the data label sttings or hover text settings.

@JustinB by building your aggregation INSIDE the CASE statement you're applying the CASE statement after aggregation. (i know that sounds like i said the same thing twice...
point being, what you're asking for is "after i aggregate the data, i want to substitute the results with a number and then i want to aggregate again."
but you can't... because you already aggregated.
when you put Objective on the Axis, it should look like your 'CASE statement is working' but as soon as you take it off, it will look like 'it isn't working.' and again, that's because you're expecting an aggregation AFTER CASE.
IF Clicks and Impressions are on the same row, and it's appropriate to rate each row of data as Clicks / Impressions then you can rewrite your BM as
sum( case when objective = ... AND clicks / impressions = .75 then 0 when objective = ... AND clicks / impressions = .82 then 1 )
Note this evaluates and assigns a score per ROW not per DAY.
If you want to assign a row per day, you have to pre-aggregate as @MarkSnodgrass suggests.
Every time I save a card I am prompted to share it. How do I turn this off?
It gets really annoying very fast when you are card building and you keep getting prompted to share the card or the drill path card, or the next drill path card...

Absolutely - we have so many cards that say "Last 8 days" so we can really get the last 7 REAL days.
And this is applicable on the week, month level. I often don't want the current week or month as they are still in progress.

@dacorson Currently, Magic ETL does not provide this directly. You can get around this by adding a constant before your join and then filtering after your join. This is how I solved it when I need to use a BETWEEN operator on my join but you can't do that directly in Magic ETL. You can see an example of how it was done in this thread.
