Re: Card Data
How large is your dataset? I believe this error is typically seen when your dataset is larger than the rendering limits on the card - all your data is there but your visual gets truncated. (see kb article for limits: https://domohelp.domo.com/hc/en-us/articles/360042924214-Card-Building-FAQs)

Re: How do I change the data from being horizontal to vertical using a calculated field?
It's a bit difficult to do this with a beast mode. I'd recommend utilizing an ETL and the Dynamic UnPivot tile to transpose your data. You can read on these here: https://domohelp.domo.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044951294-New-Magic-ETL-Tiles-Pivot#4.
Re: Sum Count(Distinct) Sales vs Budget
You could use Magic ETL to group by store and month, and do a sum of Sales and maximum of Monthly Budget (assuming it stays the same the whole month). This would give you an output like this:
A May $120 $300
B May $30 $200
Then in your card just use a beast mode to calculate sales as percentage of budget.
Re: Become a Domo Sensei
Do we need to complete the "How to keep Sensei Status" stuff right after the "How do I become a Sensei?" or is that like after you have been a Sensei for x amount of time.

Re: How to display results up to last week
You can create a beast mode that will look at the current date and then move it back to the last day of the previous week and then compare it against your date field.
CASE WHEN `date` <= /* last day of the previous week */ DATE_ADD(DATE_SUB(CURRENT_DATE(), INTERVAL 1 WEEK) , INTERVAL (7- DAYOFWEEK(CURRENT_DATE())) DAY) THEN 'Include' ELSE 'Exclude' END
You would then drag this beast mode into your filters section and select Include.
Re: Using Beast Mode, how can I use the last value when a value equals zero?
The ETL would be more accurate and flexible in terms of how far back your last value occurred whereas the beast mode would only go back as far as you have defined.
Re: Why do private embed links resolve to a "public.domo.com" address?
This is the embed server that handles embedding. It's a bit confusing with the domain being public but all the logic is handled there for private and public embedding. @ChrisBaker@chrishaleua may be able to shed some more light on this.
Re: Filter to show blank cells?
@louiswatson you can also do something like this
IFNULL(`Region`, 'Not Mapped')

Re: How do I create a rate with 1 row of data then filter it by unique cells of another row?
For your percentage of patients admitted via observation, you can use a beast mode like the following:
SUM(case when 'Enc status' = "Observation" then 1 else 0 end)/COUNT('Enc status')
This will get you the total observation patients divided by the total patients. To get it broken out by provider, you can just let Domo do the work. If you do a table and put the providers as a column, or a chart with providers on the axis, you can use your beast mode as your other column and it will just do the calculations for each one.
Re: Getting dates in one row
There are two separate pieces needed to pull this off in Magic ETL.
- Group By Order, Model, Ord Date - get MAX of cur prm and each of the prm date fields
- Pivot the rec dates (New Magic ETL Tiles: Pivot – Domo)
Left join the Pivot to Group By on Order, Model, Ord Date - drop the extra columns of the same name from Pivot.
