Re: Is there a way to count totals of unique combos within a pivot?
@slesty If you want to see the the totals by shipment, then I recommend creating a separate output to your ETL to remove all customer-related fields and remove duplicates so have a single row per shipment. Then you would use that output for cards to aggregate the invoice amounts without double-counting, and use your original dataset for customer-specific reporting.
Re: June 2022 User Group Recordings
Can you share the video of the speaker that talked before Elliot Leonard? It was very interesting his speech about how to use variables. Thank you in advance.
Re: Beast Mode Manager - Cards using this Beast Mode
The 103 count might be counting drill path cards, which won't show up on the list of cards.
Re: How to convert Milliseconds into Date
Hi @Vova
Try this, you might need to adjust the time depending of your time zone
FROM_UNIXTIME(1656076776827/1000,'%d %M %Y %H:%i:%s')
Re: At what stage should column renaming happen
Typically I'll do the same, pull in the raw tables with the actual field names then consolidate the business logic and renaming of the columns to be a standard value in the ETL (Magic or View) this way the same name is used across all cards and I have my actual raw tables with no modifications for easier debugging.
Re: At what stage should column renaming happen
Personally, I like to do it in my ETLs to make the more common business names. I will also usually make any other data enhancements needed like joining with other workbench tables or adding in manual maps or date fields. The output of that flow is what I make public to my users, most people don't have access to the raw tables in my instance unless its for a pipeline we have not really developed.
Sometimes we do rename things in cards but that is more for if I need a shorter name or just need it to be more specific.

Re: Beast Mode Manager - Cards using this Beast Mode
You could utilize the Domo Data Governance Connector and pull in the Card Fields and Beast Modes dataset which will list all the fields used on a card and has identifiers if the field is a beast mode or not.
Re: Card Data
@Fadem your data is there it just can't show it all. Try doing an aggregation or providing filters for people when using the card and you will see all the data. You can also change what card type you are using. Are you using a Mega or Pivot table? I recommend using those and not the HTML table.

Re: Set values in a column based on a "master row"?
It sounds like you're needing to do a join between the royalty reports the metadata. You can use Magic ETL and the Join tile, you can use a left join to attach the metadata to the royalty reports where the track title from the royalty sheet equals the track title from the metadata sheet (assuming track titles are unique). This will just look through your royalty sheet and for each title on it, it will look through the metadata and attach the information from the row with the same track on it.
Re: Beast Mode calc for omitting specific modalities?
If you wanted to go the beast mode route, you're on the right track. You need to create a CASE WHEN statement within the SUM function:
SUM(case when 'Divisional Expenses' <> "Marketing" then 'Amount' else 0 end)
'Amount' would be whatever your value column is. Another option is to just do a regular sum of you Divisional Expenses column and just add a Divisional Expenses as a filter to your card and you can exclude whatever modalities you want. Then they won't be added and you can easily change the filter depending on what you want to exclude instead of having to go and edit the beast mode each time.
