Re: Pagination issue with JSON No Code Connector (API PennyLane)
Hi @Makam - I reviewed the documentation for that API and I see that the "List Ledger Entries" and "List Ledger Entry Lines of a Ledger Entry" endpoints use a page based pagination method rather than next token. As a workaround could you try first getting all Ledger Entries, and then with a second JSON connector loop through those entries and get the lines for each (using the dynamic URL option)?
Re: How do you create cards using AI chat generated graphs?
Currently not a feature. Closest you can get with today's implementation is to infer this from using "Show Chart Controls" what columns and aggregations to use, along with the chart type dropdown, then use Analyzer to create the chart.
Re: row count at each step
See the below idea for a similar issue for joins.
I agree the Magic ETL hides really valuable information that supports testing and without experience they're easy to forget - or manually include based on experience and create a huge spaghetti mess - as ETLs become more complex.
Re: Joins: Automatic Identification of Relationship Direction
@AndreaHenderson I had missed this feature that's certainly heading in the right direction. I guess the first step would be requiring this field to be selected rather than defaulting to a Many-2-Many selection.
Re: Prevent 2 People form Editing Same ETL at Same Time
I would prefer version control - saving each version and requesting an authorized merge.
Re: Joins: Automatic Identification of Relationship Direction
@NateBI This is an interesting idea and I'll look over it with the team. We did introduce a join type configuration menu that allows you to constrain joins to specified types. I recognize this doesn't account for a lot of what you're requesting (it doesn't auto-detect or represent on the canvas), but thought it might be relevant info in case you haven't played with this setting yet. Thanks for submitting your idea, we'll definitely review it.
Re: How do I move shapes within a workflow?
Whilst I have been using copy and paste for shapes I have been finding it is on occasion unreliable.
Examples:
- when copying an Append To Dataset often all the parameters will be blanked out, to the extent you can't even manually enter them
- when copying a General Task it does not create the task form as an entirely new form, which means if you update the copied task form, eg changing the form name, the original form will also be changed
Copying and pasting one shape at a time is really painful if you want replicate a whole branch of shapes, you should be able to select multiple shapes at a time to copy. Nintex allows the creation of 'action sets' in which you can group a series of actions and then you can copy and paste that action set.
I've also found the whole UI becomes interminably slow if you have more than a couple of screens worth of shapes in a workflow. It's taking 5-10 seconds to show that details of a shape when you click on it, 5 seconds for a new shape to be chosen, 10 seconds to save the workflow, 5 seconds for moving a shape etc.
For example I have a workflow that has a lot of levels of approvals - see attached screenshots, and that is not the complete process.
The UI was so slow that I've had to cut out the last third, to have it run as a second workflow that will be called by the first workflow but this is hardly an ideal solution as I have to ensure all the correct data is carried across from the first workflow to the second. I can't understand why the UI is running so slowly, I've developed Nintex workflows that are much larger with hundreds of actions and never once has the UI been any different if I've got 5 actions or a hundred.
Is there a way to include a series in a period over period chart type?
I'm trying to include a series (basically different locations) of sales during this current quarter and graph compared to the same quarter one year ago. Using a period over period chart, I don't see any charts that allow for a series to include that 3rd metric broken down by location. Basically I want to include 3 columns. X Axis being the 'Date', Y Axis being the 'Sales' and Series being the 'Location'
Re: row count at each step
I just came on to add this. It would be so helpful to make sure filters, remove duplicates, and joins are behaving as expected. Especially in consumption models where you don't want to run it and then find out there is a problem.
