Re: Automated PDP to Multiple Values of the Same Attribute?
I haven't worked with this before but I believe you can do things like you need using the Governance Toolkit > PDP Automation.
Where you configure something like:
user_email | attribute_name | attribute_value
-------------------|----------------|------------------
user1@company .com | DMA | FL
user2@company .com | DMA | FL|GA
Re: Lock Cards by default when created
Would be a beneficial feature, the only thing to keep in mind is if the card owner is on leave an admin will have to provide access to someone if it requires fixing.
Important to remember to add a group as an owner once the card is certified/being used as a "prod" card.
Re: sorting horizontal bar chart by total across all series
Just found the answer to this one today!
In Chart Properties → General → Sort on totals , you can set it to ascending/descending and it will sort on the total value instead of the series like you mentioned
Re: Getting the synonyms to save
Alternatively, you can automate the process of generating the synonyms and context following the steps I outline in this video:
HubSpot + Domo: Embedding a dashboard onto the customer record
I created an example app to show how to embed a Domo dashboard onto the HubSpot company record. If you use HubSpot as your CRM, this can be incredibly helpful for adding a customer scorecard or customer 360 dashboard.
Example app:
Re: How to create "Static" headers in Custom Map
You can open your SVG in a text editor, and apply the fill there before bringing it into Domo (I used Visual Studio Code, but any text editor should work). If any of your shapes have a "data-name" tag, Domo will use those for the data fill, and everything else will be left alone. Here, I created a similar map as yours, and grouped the top row in a group called "header", which I applied a light gray fill to:
Here's what that looks like when brought in to Domo:
And here's the documentation from Domo on how to do that, plus some more examples:

Period over Period Beast Mode
I have the following Beast Mode working for a comparison table (Period over Period is the name of the variable:
CASE
WHEN Period Over Period = 'Week over Week' THEN (CASE WHEN WEEK(Date) = WEEK(CURDATE() - INTERVAL 1 WEEK) AND YEAR(Date) = YEAR(CURDATE() - INTERVAL 1 WEEK) AND DAYOFWEEK(Date) <= DAYOFWEEK(CURDATE()) THEN Amount END)
WHEN Period Over Period = 'Month over Month' THEN (CASE WHEN MONTH(Date) = MONTH(CURDATE() - INTERVAL 1 MONTH) AND YEAR(Date) = YEAR(CURDATE() - INTERVAL 1 MONTH) AND DAYOFMONTH(Date) <= DAYOFMONTH(CURDATE()) THEN Amount END)
WHEN Period Over Period = 'Quarter over Quarter' THEN (CASE WHEN QUARTER(Date) = QUARTER(CURDATE() - INTERVAL 1 QUARTER) AND YEAR(Date) = YEAR(CURDATE() - INTERVAL 1 QUARTER) AND DAYOFYEAR(Date) <= DAYOFYEAR(CURDATE() - 91) THEN Amount END)
WHEN Period Over Period = 'Year over Year' THEN (CASE WHEN YEAR(Date) = YEAR(CURDATE() - INTERVAL 1 YEAR) AND Date < DATE_SUB(CURDATE(), INTERVAL 1 YEAR) THEN Amount END)
END
What I want to add is 'Week over same Week Last Year', 'Month over same Month Last Year', and 'Quarter over same Quarter Last Year'. And if possible, 'Last 12 Months' to compare to the previous 12 month period (this is probably the hardest to execute in a beast mode).
Is there a way of adding the above to the beast mode? I know I could do in the ETL, just wanting to see if this is possible in beast mode.
Re: Inline Editing App: Bad Message 431
As this app is developed by Domo you’ll need to contact support as it sounds like an issue with how the app is trying to send your data.
Inline Editing App: Bad Message 431
Does anyone here use the inline editing app? I'm having a situation where it will work on the first load, but if I leave the dashboard and go back it displays: Bad Message 431 - reason: Request Header Fields Too Large. The dataset has 777 rows and 61 columns, which should allow it to exist as a standard dataset per the knowledge base (100,000 or fewer rows and 500 or fewer columns):
Any recommendations on a possible solution or why this is happening?
