Re: What are the best options for concerns about co-mingled data
Hi nwentzel,
I consulted with a company that provided BI as a service and hosted data of many companies in a single instance. They utilized PDP, strict sharing processes using group sharing only (Ex. Group Name = 'Walmart'), publication groups, Domo everywhere, sandbox/publish and more.
It may be helpful if I had a bit more context on what their main concerns are and how you are currently handling their data.
Re: Global date range filter in dashboard, have it compare to exactly a year ago in guage card type.
Hey @jakebutterfield
I recommend restructuring your data model so you can have multiple periods for each date (in your case this year and last year). I've done a write up on this in the past which might be helpful for you.
This way they can select whatever date range they want and see the selected. value and the value from last year.
Re: Label ranked rows based on consecutive condition
@NateBI I was able to accomplish what you are looking to do using a Redshift Dataflow. If you don't currently have Redshift dataflows enabled you can contact your CSM, or you could attempt this same logic in Magic.
First, I created a new field that gives the order of the data, similar to rank but for every row in sequential order.
Second, I used this case statement in the Dataflow:
CASE
WHEN "rank" = 1 AND lead("rank", 7) over (partition by "rule2_hours" order by "order") = 8 THEN 'Colour'
WHEN "rank" = 2 AND lead("rank", 6) over (partition by "rule2_hours" order by "order") = 8 THEN 'Colour'
WHEN "rank" = 3 AND lead("rank", 5) over (partition by "rule2_hours" order by "order") = 8 THEN 'Colour'
WHEN "rank" = 4 AND lead("rank", 4) over (partition by "rule2_hours" order by "order") = 8 THEN 'Colour'
WHEN "rank" = 5 AND lead("rank", 3) over (partition by "rule2_hours" order by "order") = 8 THEN 'Colour'
WHEN "rank" = 6 AND lead("rank", 2) over (partition by "rule2_hours" order by "order") = 8 THEN 'Colour'
WHEN "rank" = 7 AND lead("rank", 1) over (partition by "rule2_hours" order by "order") = 8 THEN 'Colour'
WHEN "rank" >= 8 THEN 'Colour' ELSE 'No Colour'
END as "testing"
And it worked! See results below:
This was fun, thanks for the challenge. If this solved your problem please accept this as the answer, if not let me know and I'll attempt the same thing in Magic ETL.
Re: Teams webhook on alerts
I had to do something similar to @GrantSmith but my endpoint was Microsoft Teams. The webhook body that Domo sends is very basic:
{
"name": "{alertTitle}",
"id": "0",
"alertId": "0",
"message": "{alertMessage}",
"timestamp": "00000000"
}
Microsoft Teams (or more specifically their Adaptive Card format) requires additional information and a different syntax (the docs).
I used Webhook Relay to intercept, manipulate, and forward the data. I listed the basic steps here.
Now in our Microsoft Teams channel, Domo card alerts get pushed.
Re: Ranking up in the Community Forum
@damen accumulating points is how you hit the next rank. You earn points by answering questions, getting badges, and recieving reactions. As those points add up, you get closer to the next rank.
The belt system (and Dojo wording) has been done away with. Member, Contributor, and Coach are the ranking levels now.
Re: Can there be a filter in the Webform while in edit mode.
Currently, filtering in webform edit mode is not supported. You can create a new idea in the ideas exchange if one does not already exist.
