Re: ETL Blank values help
@renee12345 You can use a Group by tile on the data that includes Name to find the First Non-Null value for Name by ID. Then join that to the data without name on ID to fill in the Name column before appending.

My manager was the owner of the original connection. She just changed the password and now everything is working.
Creating a Pivot Table Card where the default view is COLLAPSED
Hi Everyone...
First post here. Just finished my professional cert level 1 to give you an idea of knowledge level.
I created a pivot table chart and by default I have a QTD date range broken out by weeks. My column hierarchy goes -> Week (based on our fiscal calendar) -> Campaigns -> dimensions/metrics.
We might be running 30-50 campaigns a week and as you can imagine the view is unwieldy when everything is expanded. I can't seem to find a way to enable the default view where everything is collapsed starting from the top (week). Is it even possible?
Re: How to mix and match Data
First, we should solve problem #2. Then, we'll create a canonical lookup table from Number to City to solve problem #1.
Use an Add Formula tile to make two new columns, Canonical Number and Canonical City like so:Canonical Number formula: NULLIF(STR_DIGITS(CASE WHEN City BETWEEN '0' AND '999999' THEN City ELSE Number END), '')Canonical City formula: NULLIF(STR_REMOVE_DIGITS(CASE WHEN Number BETWEEN 'A' AND 'zzzzzz' THEN Number ELSE City END), '')
Now use a Group By tile to make the lookup table. Our one grouping column will be Canonical Number, and our one aggregate will be the First non-null value of Canonical City; we'll call this the Lookup City.
Now use the Join Data tile to Inner Join the original table (the output of the Add Formula) to the lookup table (the output of the Group By) on the Canonical Number column.
The Canonical Number column and the Lookup City column in the result of the Join Data tile have the final values you want.
The whole transform has this shape:

Re: Removing or anonymizing PII data?
No problem! Domo also announced column- level PDP at Domopalooza. When I followed up with them a week ago on it they said that it will likely be released sometime next year. It will allow hiding of entire columns from some or all users. Hope it gets released sooner.
Re: What are the best options for concerns about co-mingled data
PDP is typically an option to help keep data separated and filtered so other users can't see data within the same dataset.
Another alternative is to use child instances to separate all data between users and have users login directly to a child / publish instance.
Re: What are the best options for concerns about co-mingled data
Hi nwentzel,
I consulted with a company that provided BI as a service and hosted data of many companies in a single instance. They utilized PDP, strict sharing processes using group sharing only (Ex. Group Name = 'Walmart'), publication groups, Domo everywhere, sandbox/publish and more.
It may be helpful if I had a bit more context on what their main concerns are and how you are currently handling their data.
