Re: View as user or view as role
As an admin and the person responsible for an overall positive Domo user experience, this is an imperative management feature.
I intentionally laid out the sub-page order for a deployment to a group of 10 users.
The page order had intentional logic to support adoption. My directions referenced the page order.
Weeks later I learned that each user got the pages in a completely randomized order.
Many of my administration challenges come down to "I cannot see what you are seeing"

Re: Create X-Axis to Only Display Day over Several Months
I’d recommend using a variable to allow users to input the number of days and use that in a beast mode to filter the card
Re: Copying characters to my computers clipboard rather than drilling.
You can prevent the drill downs. In your upper right hand click on 'Card Options', then go to 'Edit Drill Path' and click on 'Prevent drilling to final data grid view'.
Re: Copying characters to my computers clipboard rather than drilling.
With Windows 11, the Snipping Tool has a copy text feature.

@GordonCox123 - see above. Forgot to tag you.
Re: Workbench error for SQL
You need to go to the accounts section in Workbench which is the key on the left side and then re-authorize. It will typically open up a browser window and have you put in your Domo credentials to authenticate. The easily missed step is clicking on the Save icon in the top right of Workbench after you finish the browser portion. Otherwise, your credentials won't save. After that, close and re-open Workbench and your jobs will reappear.
Re: Installing R Packages in Jupyter rstatix
I think I found a solution (at least for rstatix), but hopefully this helps with others as well:
A dependency of a lot of R packages is the 'nloptr' package (including rstatix), which in turn requires 'cmake'. I believe cmake should be available on the operating system already, but for some reason the Jupyter environment can't see it. I was able to install cmake using a terminal with this:
pip install cmake
Then, I was able to run install.packages('rstatix') in a notebook. This took over 5 minutes to execute.
Also, throughout the troubleshooting process, I had to "restore kernel defaults" a bunch of times. I would know I needed to do this because I would try installing a package like ggplot2 that I was able to install before, but would get an error. You should definitely start with this, and then if something doesn't work, do it again.
Group By "Concat Distinct" Now Live!
I wanted to make a quick post to let you know about an update we made to the Group By tile in Magic.
In your instances, you should now see the ability to choose a new options when defining how a column should be aggregated in the Group By tile:
- Combine distinct strings separated by ,
This allows you to create an aggregate column that includes a list of distinct values rather than having to choose just the first/last value, a count of items in the aggregation, or a non-distinct list of values.
(Note: The equivalent in an expression/formula would be GROUP_CONCAT(DISTINCT argument SEPARATOR ', '))
While relatively minor, we think this change will make using Group By in Magic just a little bit nicer.
Let me know if you have any questions or thoughts.
Thanks!
