Re: Can DDX Bricks apps bring up blank outlook email?
I have done this with non-DDX brick cards in Domo. It will use the default email client settings on users computers so there may be issues there to resolve. Here is a beastmode that will do what you are looking for:
CONCAT('<a href="mailto:emailaddress?subject=emailsubject','&body=','"</a>')
Re: Can DDX Bricks apps bring up blank outlook email?
@Morgan I believe mega tables are the only card type that works with HTML links.
I've also encountered this same issue when working with <a> tags in DDX Bricks (I usually just add a note at the bottom of the brick saying they'll need to right click and open in a new tab).
Re: Sort Table based on What was first selected in Filter
ArborRose Its sorting, I figured out the filtering issue. Ideally Whatever Location is selected first in my filter Brick, I want to display first in my table Brick, Then when a user selects the second location it is displayed second in my table.
Re: Beastmode Error - An issue has occurred during processing.
I opened the card today and the beastmode is now working on the card. I'm not sure why it wasn't working last week, but I appreciate all of your input! Thank you!
Re: Appstore wants to hear from you!
Thanks for the info @MarkSnodgrass - Please feel free to submit these as individual ideas to this category (not post), which will enable us to track and vote on those concepts. :-)
Re: Why are filters showing on one embed dashboard and not the other?
It may be helpful to see what that hover looks like and where on the page it is. From what I am gathering, it's on the page, rather than the card, otherwise I would think it may be the card interaction settings. But if it's an app, it may still be that. There are so many places where interactions can be set.
Re: Beastmode Error - An issue has occurred during processing.
What is the error message you are getting? Can you share mock data with the columns you have and what the calculation would be if you perform it manually? The reason I'm asking is that you have nested aggregation functions (SUM of a SUM) without any window clause (OVER or FIXED) which is odd, so perhaps the formula could be simplified once we understand what the desired calculation is explained in words with an example.
Re: Getting value of previous quarter and comparison
@MayaU_01 - I think you should look at my response to another recent question.
I showed the way I like to do what I refer to as trends. Comparing year to previous year and the year before that. I use the same calculation formula to compare previous quarters across multiple years.
Using this calculation, add another line that says:
and QUARTER('date') < = QUARTER(CURRENT_DATE())
And you will have a comparison of quarter to previous quarter. And quarters of the year to quarters of previous years.
What I don't show on that other thread is that I use a similar formula to then represent the difference or delta between them. Take the result of one quarter and subtract from the next and you get the difference. Take that difference over the previous total and you get the percentage of increase or decrease relative to the previous quarters.
This then lets me setup a table view or a bar chart, line chart, etc….with comparisons next to each other. When I take the above formula for difference and put it over the previous total, I get the percentage of increase or decrease.
.25 or 25% means a growth over the previous period of 25%.
Then I set up a table chart that has columns for
PY QTD {whatevers} | CY QTD {whatevers} | CY QTD Difference | CY QTD % of Change | etc.
Here's the other thread…
Re: Start Date End Date Filter? Date Selector or something else?
This is not possible using the calendar filter. You could create 2 drop-down style filters, one for the start date and one for the end date. End users would either have to type the date to search through the possible values or scroll through to make a selection. Not a perfect solution but I would say better than the slider filter.
Re: Description for Calculated Fields
So much cleaner! And it could just be right there in the tile under the beast mode name and pop up when you hover, just like any dataset field. YES PLEASE!!!
