Re: MySQL Recursive CTE - Date Range Split
If you SELECT VERSION() you'll see which version of MySQL you're developing against, MySQL 5.6,
https://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/8.0/en/with.html
MySQL 5.6 does not support CTEs ![]()
But if you have a list of Dates (a date dimension) you could accomplish the same thing with a simple JOIN
SELECT
a.*
FROM
a
Join
Date d
on d.date between startDate and endDate
or similar.
Re: Hyperlink to Sharepoint
Agree with @trafalger , also keep in mind that whether this will display as an hyperlink or not will depend on the kind of card you're using. One quick thing I would recommend, just to keep things following HTML standards, is that if the idea is to show the name as the text displayed for the link, to put that in between the hyperlink mark (personally I prefer not mixing single and double quotes).
concat('<a href=''xxxxxredirect=true/Name=',`Name`, ''' target=''_blank''>',`Name`,'</a>')
You should read more on the Sharepoint URL structure/anatomy to construct the right URL link, it seems you'd need a couple of other things besides the name, and if your user readable name contains spaces or special characters how are they to be handled, should you pass your text to encode or is just a replacement. Depending on the Sharepoint content it'd seem the structure for pages would be in the line of:
https://companyname.sharepoint.com/sites/site-name/Pages/page-name.aspx
Where you'd need to get the site-name and page-name from your data, so the formula would look like:
concat('<a href=''https://companyname.sharepoint.com/sites/',`Site`, '/Pages/',`Name`,'.aspx'' target=''_blank''>',`Name`,'</a>')
Re: FIXED Function As Background Filter
Depending on the setup of the card/data, I think you should be able to change the Beastmode to just COUNT(DISTINCT EMPLOYEE_ID), add it as a Tooltip so that it's at the right level of aggregation and then use it as a filter.
Re: Calculating Week on Week customer retention
You can calculate the beginning day of the week using a beast mode:
`date` - INTERVAL (DAYOFWEEK(`date`)-1) DAY
Alternatively though I recommend using a date dimension table with custom offsets to make this easier so you can see how many you have from the prior week and calculate week over week differences. I've written on this here:
Re: Multiple Values in a Pie Chart
You can also combine the Tootip Field and the datalabel settings to display multiple values. However, the Pie value will only take the first into account.
Re: Multiple Values in a Pie Chart
@Mirnes, @trafalger is correct that pie charts can only display one value at a time. If you want to be able to switch back and forth between values, you can do that using Variables.
Re: Multiple Values in a Pie Chart
Are you looking to have two separate values for Maintenance and Disruption and have them both displayed? Pie charts only support 1 value at a time.
If you want to combine them, you can do a beast mode that is SUM(IFNULL(Maintenance, 0) + IFNULL(Disruption, 0)) and then add that to the pie chart.
Re: Border when hovering over a DDX Brick
Can you share a screenshot of what you are seeing for a border on your DDX bricks? Mine don't have a border other than the same hover border you see on any other card in Domo. Those hover borders can be disabled in the following way: Edit Dashboard > Edit Content > Change Interaction > Disable Card Interactions. This will remove the hover border, but also prevent any interaction with the card.
