Re: How to reorder variable categories in legend and how to remove the total section in a pie chart?
@svetlana what Grant is saying is that you need to have two beast modes, one to be used for display purposes on your chart and one to be used in the sorting properties. They will have the same case statement syntax in them, just the sorting properties beast mode will result in a numerical value rather than a string. This way, the sorting can function properly. Here's an example from one of my cards:
Category for Display (used in the pie name field):
(CASE when `totalreported` < 250000 then '0-250k' when `totalreported` < 1000000 then '250k-1m' when `totalreported` < 2000000 then '1-2m' else '2m+' end)
Category for Sorting (used in the sorting properties):
(CASE when `totalreported` < 250000 then 1 when `totalreported` < 1000000 then 2 when `totalreported` < 2000000 then 3 else 4 end)
Also, it appears that pie charts behave slightly differently than other cards in this area. You also need to go to the General Properties and select No Auto Sort or else adding this beast mode to the sorting properties will have no impact.
Re: BeastMode calculation - specifying "previous month"
Do you have a date field being displayed on your card?
Re: how do you open attachments entered in a form builder form
Found the Attachment URL by copying it out of the form where the files are attached
https://dd887eca-92df-4ec2-b11a-aaa73998b7ff.domoapps.prod4.domo.com/domo/data-files/v1/21770
that string before ".domoapps..." can be found in the Response dataset title as well
Re: how do you open attachments entered in a form builder form
the Number value was fed into the URL and the File Name was left as the Target
CONCAT('<a href="', 'https://dd887eca-92df-4ec2-b11a-aaa73998b7ff.domoapps.prod4.domo.com/domo/data-files/v1/', `Hyp Test Num`,'" target="_blank">', `Value`, '</a>')
Resulting in a functional link in the Card with the file name that opens the file.
I believe this is solved until DOMO creates a better solution.
thankyou MarkSnodgrass for your feedback!
Re: How to create separate filter sets in one dashboard?
Mark, thank you SO MUCH! Worked like magic :)
Re: How to create separate filter sets in one dashboard?
You can use some of the slicer cards that are found under the filter chart types to do some of your filtering.
You can then change the interaction of those slicer cards by editing your dashboard, clicking on Edit Content on the slicer card and choose change interaction. In here, you can select which cards should respond to the filter.
If you are using filter views, when adding a field to filter on, if there is an arrow next to it, you can click on that arrow and select which dataset should be used. Only cards tied to that dataset will be filtered when that filter is applied.
Hope this helps.
Re: Creating a constant value for each month
@b_rad Ahh... sorry about that. In Magic ETL, click and drag your mouse over all the tiles you want to highlight. Once they are all selected some options show up on the left side. Choose copy to clipboard. Then, go to your other Magic ETL and press ctrl+v to paste those into another ETL.
Re: Dividing two integer columns that contain 0 values causing incorrect percentage value display (CTR)
remember zero and null are not the same. assuming your beast mode is sum(values) / count(values)
if you had 5 rows
0,0, null, 2 and 6, the average is 8/4 = 2
if you had 5 rows
null, null, null, 2 and 6 the average is 8 / 2 = 4.
if you are doing division within the row avg( colA / colB ) as opposed to sum(colA) / sum(colB) you'll get a different result too.

Re: Checking the existence of an entry in the immediate future date and counting in future date
Hi All, I was able to get this done myself!...I used a lead function with date operations and was able to get this done
Re: column referenced isn't found but exists in the connector
Try clicking on Run Preview and see if that helps the ETL recognize what columns actually exist. You can also use the expanded formula editor and double-click the column in the list to add it to the formula editor to ensure there are no typos.
