Re: Color Coding or conditional formatting in DOMO?
If you are using a mega table, you can create beast modes that color the numbers like this:
CASE WHEN budget > actual then concat('<div style="color: #ff0000">',`budget`,'</div>')
else
concat('<div style="color: #00ff00">',`budget`,'</div>')
end
This would turn the budget red if it is higher, otherwise it will be green.
Re: Convert text to date field using
First I would make sure that the column is included in the select columns tile at the end of the ETL. Next, I would edit the card in Analyzer and click on the Date Range selector in the top right. Ensure that Hide Date on Card Details is not selected and that the appropriate Date Range Field is selected.
Re: Convert text to date field using
Since your field only contains the month and the year, I recommend using the split_part and concat function to pull out the month and year and set it to the 1st of the month. You can do it like this:
DATE(CONCAT(split_part(Monthfield,'-',1),'/1/',split_part(Monthfield,'-',2)))
Wrapping the DATE() function around all of it will convert it to a date field after it has built the date.
Re: Convert text to date field using
Thanks Mark and Grand for your support, I was able to get the Data Range on my chart, it appears I didn't have all the columns selected at the end of the ETL.
Re: Using Juptyer Workspace with domo
You need Jupyter Worspace to be enabled in your instance ( Speak to your CSM - I think it is a paid feature ). The button to create a NEW WORKSPACE is located on the top right-hand corner.
If it is not enabled, this is what you will see :(

Re: Google Analytics session data showing improperly
Sure!
When I say 'simplify' I mean pick as few "Dimensions" as possible. Here is a screenshot of the selected dimensions for a Google Analytics connector:
Google Analytics Connector
There are 3 Dimensions selected.
- Date: like 1/1/2019
- Medium: organic/social/referral/etc...
- Source: website where they clicked the link to come to my website.
This means that in order to use the user/session values I need to display a card that shows the Sum() By Day and separates the values for Medium AND Source without combining the numbers for them.
To Simplify By Day:
If I just want to see the User/Session totals by day then I need to remove the Medium and Source dimensions from the setup. If my only dimension is Date then I will get ONE row of data per day and the Users/Sessions will match Google Analytics.
Note: per Google's terms/conditions, sampling may apply. You can tell if sampling was applied by checking for a column in the dataset named: `Sampled Data`
