Re: How to create a filter using Beastmode?
CASE WHEN FRANCHISEE NAME IN('Adam','Al','Leon','Brandon','Colemen') THEN 'Include' ELSE 'Exclude' END
Then use it as a filter and select 'Include'. Also select "Share on Dataset" on the quick filter.
Re: Question on Domo SQL syntax
Grants solution for the second date is correct:
YEAR(`ProductSale_Timestamp`)
Is that still not working for you?
For the first part try this:
YEAR(FROM_UNIXTIME(`PRODUCT_KEY`))
Re: Question on Domo SQL syntax
Are you using a Magic ETL transformation with a formula tile or a MySQL transformation?
Is your PRODUCT_KEY field a date field or a text field or a numerical field?
Why are you casting it to a string, then to a date, then to a string and finally back to a date again?
Assuming you're using a formula tile in Magic ETL:
If PRODUCT_KEY is a date then you can simplify it with:
WEEK(`PRODUCT_KEY`)
If it's a string:
WEEK(STR_TO_DATE(`PRODUCT_KEY`, '%Y%m%d'))
If it's a number:
WEEK(STR_TO_DATE(STRING(`PRODUCT_KEY`), '%Y%m%d'))
Your other formula becomes:
YEAR(`ProductSale_Timestamp`)
Domo utilizes the MySQL format strings for dates and most of the function names / types.
Re: Can I revert data that I recently appended to my dataset?
On the history tab of the dataset, you should be able to go over the right and wrench will appear and you can choose "delete this update"
Re: Data exploration beyond what users have access to
Do you want users to instantly gain access or should it go through a review? Should the request come through Buzz or via another option?
A quick and dirty option is to use the mailto protocol in an HTML hyperlink where you can specify to, subject and message body so you can send it to an automated email box:
<a href="mailto:email@example.com?cc=secondemail@example.com, anotheremail@example.com, &bcc=lastemail@example.com&subject=Mail from our Website&body=Some body text here">Send Email</a>
You can also use the CONCAT to dynamically include the dataset ID in the subject or body depending on your use case.
Re: Data exploration beyond what users have access to
You might also consider using the Form and Dataset Brick where you can have the users fill out a form and submit the data. You should be able to make a dropdown list of datasets so that the users don't have to locate the datasetid. You can then build cards off of the submitted data to manage the requests.
Re: Faceted Bar Chart Labels
@ST_-Superman-_ Thank you for the suggestion! I don't think it'll work for us as the data frequently overlaps and hides the conversion numbers:
But your suggestion prompted me to look at Line Bar, and this one seems to fit the bill. I wouldn't have looked at it without you suggesting the first one so many thanks!
Re: How to count status changes in snapshot data
@renee12345 I would suggest using a dataflow to group your data by week and name. In the same group by tile add a distinct count of Status. Whenever the distinct count equals 2, then that indicates that that person's status changed within that same week.
Re: How to count status changes in snapshot data
@renee12345 Do you just need a date field for your cards? If so you could use the formula below to identify the first day of the week to group by instead:
`Snapshot Date` - DAYOFWEEK(`Snapshot Date`)
