Re: how to define full quarters
Okay is the total engagements field populated every day during the duration of the campaign? If so, this is how I did it:
ETL overview:
Step 1:
Add Quarter and Year if not already in your data
Step 2:
Use 2 group by tiles to get the minimum date and maximum date for each campaign within each quarter. Minimum is shown below. Maximum is the same except you choose 'Maximum' as the aggregation type instead of minimum.
Step 3:
Join the data so that for each row you have the minimum and maximum dates
Step 4:
Create a field using the formula tile:
CASE
-- Q1
WHEN Quarter = 1 AND DAY(Minimum Date) = 1 AND DAY(Maximum Date) = 31 THEN 'Full Quarter'
-- Q2
WHEN Quarter = 2 AND DAY(Minimum Date) = 1 AND DAY(Maximum Date) = 30 THEN 'Full Quarter'
-- Q3
WHEN Quarter = 3 AND DAY(Minimum Date) = 1 AND DAY(Maximum Date) = 30 THEN 'Full Quarter'
-- Q4
WHEN Quarter = 4 AND DAY(Minimum Date) = 1 AND DAY(Maximum Date) = 31 THEN 'Full Quarter'
ELSE 'Partial Quarter' END
Step 5:
Join this data back to your base data
Step 6:
Filter out 'Partial Quarter' in your card
This is what the data would look like for reference:
How to remove a personal comment/post
๐Hello Domo Community!๐
We have made some recent changes to the process of deleting personal comments and posts. Currently, anyone that is not an admin does not have the ability to delete anything; this includes posts and comments made by oneself. The forum has a plethora of knowledge and we want to mitigate removing potentially useful content as much as possible.
With that said, mistakes happen on occasion. If you made a post or comment that needs to be taken down, then follow the steps bellow:
- Click the three dots at the top right corner of the discussion box or comment you want removed
- Click 'Edit' (If you are unable to edit, skip to step 5)
- Delete all text within the text box
- Click 'Save'
- Click the flag icon at the bottom left
- Click 'Report'
- Under 'Reason' click 'This is my own post/discussion of which I want to delete'
- Lastly, click 'Send Report'
*The window for editing a comment or post is 24 hours. If you can no longer edit your content, it is because the 24-hour window has closed. You can still report the content for a moderator to delete at their earliest convenience.*
If you have questions or concerns, feel free to message an admin.

Thanks @trafalger for the shoutout. @ccc123 let me know if you have questions too!
Re: Filter Chart Type
@GrantSmith I just figured it out. The option to add a variable into a page is accessible when the dashboard is being edited. I'm such a newbie. Thanks man!
Re: Filter Chart Type
You can't use a variable directly in the items section. You need to use a variable in the beast mode.
You can add the variable control to the page and and configure it to be a dropdown to help apply to your different cards which use the varaible.
Re: how to exclude all last Wednesday of every quarter?
Alternatively here's a beast mode version:
CASE WHEN MONTH(`dt`) IN (3,6,9,12) AND DAYOFWEEK(LAST_DAY(`dt`)) < 4 AND `dt` = LAST_DAY(`dt`) - INTERVAL (DAYOFWEEK(LAST_DAY(`dt`)) + 3) DAY THEN 'Exclude'
WHEN MONTH(`dt`) IN (3,6,9,12) AND DAYOFWEEK(LAST_DAY(`dt`)) >= 4 AND `dt` = LAST_DAY(`dt`) - INTERVAL (DAYOFWEEK(LAST_DAY(`dt`)) - 4) DAY THEN 'Exclude'
ELSE 'Include'
END
MONTH(`dt`) IN (3,6,9,12)
Make sure it's the last month in the quarter
DAYOFWEEK(LAST_DAY(`dt`)) < 4
Different logic for the if the last day falls on Sun-Tues
LAST_DAY(`dt`) - INTERVAL (DAYOFWEEK(LAST_DAY(`dt`)) + 3) DAY
Subtract the day of week plus three additional days to get the Wednesday from the prior week
LAST_DAY(`dt`) - INTERVAL (DAYOFWEEK(LAST_DAY(`dt`)) - 4) DAY
Alternative logic if Wed-Sat - Subtract 4 less than the days from the day of the week - In other words, Find Sunday - subtract dayofweek - and then add 4 days to get to wednesday.
Rank Tile Not Grouping, Needs Case Sensitive box
I am using the Rank tile, ordering on a Timestamp and the column that makes up a partition is Customer. For example, I have "CUSTOMER A" and "Customer A." These are in the raw data and represent different clients, but the Rank is treating them as the same. I will probably value map one of variations to be unique, and I'll have to repeat the process for any other Customers with a similar issue. This could be solved with a Case Sensitive check box in the partition section.
