Re: Flip Fields in Stacked Bar Chart
Can you share the settings that you have in the analyzer? The columns being used and the sorting?
Re: Displaying DOMO Page Url in an iframe
Run me through the current user experience. I seem to hear two things:
1.) You want some pages to be public (which the url above will solve).
2.) But you'd also like authenticated access by SSO, but not by embedding in a separate website?
-I have done SSO authentication using Domo Embed, but it sounds like you'd like the users to log in on Domo's site with SSO?
Here is where you can find SSO setups inside of Domo's "Authentication" tab.
Re: Calculating a % based on multiple dates
You could add a case statement
Case when curdate() > End Date then 1 else … end
where the … is your formula from above
Re: Uploading Excel - Data Type Issues
I worked around this by adding a CONCAT formula in Magic ETL. My File# needs to be 6 characters long. This worked for me.
CASE
WHEN LENGTH(File#) = 5 THEN CONCAT('0',File#)
WHEN LENGTH(File#) = 4 THEN CONCAT('00',File#)
WHEN LENGTH(File#) = 3 THEN CONCAT('000',File#)
WHEN LENGTH(File#) = 2 THEN CONCAT('0000',File#)
WHEN LENGTH(File#) = 1 THEN CONCAT('00000',File#)
ELSE File#
END
I have no clue why we have the ability to change a column to be text, which then shows correctly and still converts back to integer when run.

Re: Identify percent of people attending current event
You need to give your "registered" vs. "not registered" column a way to aggregate, otherwise it doesn't know how to collapse the different values. I think this should work (it's basically just wrapping your beastmode in a SUM and another CASE statement)
case
when sum(case when Year like '%2024%' then 1 else 0 end) > 0
then 'Registered'
Else 'Not Registered'
END
Re: Question on Expanding Data to Display Unique Values
You can do this within a Magic ETL.
If you do something like this:
This will do a cartesian join between the list of years and your dataset and then filter the records where the year is in between your original start and end years. Add formula is adding a new column called Join Column with a value of 1 for the join.
I've attached a JSON file with the definition (minus the input and output datasets) so you can copy the contents and then control+v/command+v/paste them into your Magic ETL canvas.
Re: Marking Duplicates So I Can Filter Them Out
There is a tile called "Remove Duplicates" that you can use in Magic ETL to only keep unique rows.
Re: Flag percent of change when it goes negative
You can use a beast mode and the lag window function to calculate the percentage difference:
(`Login Value` - lag(`Login Value`,1) over(PARTITION BY `Member` ORDER BY `Login Date`) ) / lag(`Login Value`,1) over(PARTITION BY `Member` ORDER BY `Login Date`)
