Re: Formula for Combining Rows and Adding Columns
You'll need to use the pivot/unpivot tiles in magic ETL. More info here:
Please let me know if you get stuck and I can help out!
Re: Automatically share the content of the parent dashboard to users and groups added to sub-dashboard
There's the issue to be resolved - there is no way to know what a user sees. There should be a shadow/proxy functionality where an admin can shadow an account to see what they see.
I would suggest that when an app is shared, a dialog box inquires whether to share all cards rather than it be automatic.
Re: Calculation of previous dated values
It looks like your first condition isn't looking for the previous month.
WHEN Year = YrSelector AND 'Month' = MONTH(DATE_SUB(RecordDate, INTERVAL 1 MONTH)) THEN SalesValue
If your data crosses Dec 2023 and Jan 2024, you'll also likely need something for that condition.
WHEN Year = YrSelector - 1 AND 'Month' = 12 AND YrSelector = 2024 AND MONTH(RecordDate) = 1 THEN SalesValue
Hope this helps :)
Re: can I change the pivot table chart like this? help please
@Lu_zhang - because you have columns defined, the sort order within each column grouping is going to be the same. There is a potential way to get to the end result you want.
You would need to restructure your data to create the groups you want. For example, you would need to have it in the following format. Note, you could also add a column for YEAR (you can also calculate month/year inside of a beast mode). The downside of this is that you'll need to do your aggregation inside of your ETL for value and percentage by month, and won't have as much flexibility in terms of changing the date grain/filtering. My candid advice is that you should keep it as you have it. Or if you really want to see side-by-side, create 2 pivot tables, 1 for values and 1 for percentages.
You can then set up your pivot table like this.
Re: Display state selected
You could use a beast mode to display the selected state if only one is selected:
CASE WHEN COUNT(DISTINCT `State`) = 1 THEN MAX(`State`) ELSE '' END
Re: Can you import multiple tabs in an excel document using the email connector?
You can't using the email connector. You would need to setup multiple email connector jobs and then append/join in an ETL.
Re: Count transactions AND sum quantity on specific transactions by type
Are your transactions duplicated?
If not you could do a conditional sum like:
SUM(CASE WHEN `transaction_type` = 'Quantity' THEN `quantity` ELSE 1 END)
Re: Help In Domo
Out of the box, Domo has color rules for single columns. If you're wanting to compare 2 columns and trigger a color rule, you'll want to set up a beast mode, and then key your color rule off of that. Something like
CASE WHEN "Total Leave % Current Month" > 0.2 AND "Total Leave % Current Month-1" > 0.2 then "Last 2 Month > 20%" end
The above is psuedo-code, but you can use it as a general structure.
You can then use the output of your beast mode to drive your color rule. You can choose to apply the color rule to the entire row, or just the column.
