Re: Filter Options
If you add the date fields as page filters and save them to the view, I think that would behave the same way as the quick filter. The filters would remain present on the page, and users can interact with them and choose the filter dates/criteria they want.
Re: Governance Toolkit
- Dataset Backup - I haven't found a need to use this. Domo has version history where you can restore previous versions of datasets / etls. I guess you could get some use out of dataset backup if the version history isn't enough.
- PDP Automation - Very useful if you have PDP on your datasets. PDP can be used to create selective views of a dataset. For example, if you want a manager at a store to only view information for their store and hide all the other stores. Every visual / dashboard they see will be filtered according to the PDP policy. You could also create tiered levels of access where store managers view their store only, regional managers can see the whole region, and corporate managers can see all the stores and regions. The benefit of using PDP is that everyone can be looking at the same dashboard but seeing different information. This reduces the # of dashboards and time you need to spend maintaining / updating the front end visuals. It also increases the cohesiveness of your dashboards, which is very important for user experience. PDP automation removes the need to assign PDP rules manually, saving a lot of time if PDP is something you use in your Domo.

Re: Smart text not displayed in Powerpoint export
Do you have anything selected for your Region filter? If you don't then it uses the default text setting on your smart text which is blank by default. If you change it to All Regions it will then show that.
As for the previous month it's not possible with that type of interaction however you may be able to select the maximum date in a beast mode and then display that in the summary number.
Re: Grid Lines with Series
When you add a series to a bar graph, it often changes the way the graph displays certain metrics like Min, Max, and Average. Sometimes removed or not shown in the way they are with a single series. You could try creating calculated fields to manually compute the Min, Max, and Average values based on your data. You can then add these as additional series to your bar graph.
Re: How to combine multiple values for one item separated by a coma
You can do this in Magic ETL with the group by tile and using the group_concat function.
Results in this:
Re: Auto-re-run stuck Dataflows (A cap time-duration to identify faliures )
This would be a great enhancement. Short of creating an alert for every dataset or downstream dataflow there is not a reliable way to catch this before end users report that something is wrong.
Re: Input Calculation
Yes you can use inline editor for this:
You could also utilize variables to do "what if" calculations:
Re: ETL not joining despite matching columns
The preview is limited to the first certain number of rows of data, so if there are no matches at the top of the inputs, it might not find any data to preview after the join, just give you a green check if it's a logically sound join.
