Re: Background Image for Stories
Hi @Ashleigh, according to DomoHelp, background images are recommended to have a size with a 2:1 ratio, so agreed with @MarkSnodgrass advice. But that's all the guidance provided online in terms of dimensions for background images :/

Re: use fields from different tables group by date to calculate percentage
I would not get into the habit of JOINING fact tables this will lead to heartache and row growth. if you continue down this path you tend to end up with a ton of single use datasets that only work for the card they power.
instead UNION the two tables together (usually I like to differentiate with an Activity Type column.
then you can take a nice clean sum(colA)/ sum(colB) in Analyzer.
even though it seems simple, @GrantSmith 's GROUP BY clause means that you no longer have any drill down capability. That's super limiting for your business users...
Re: use fields from different tables group by date to calculate percentage
Hi @user095063
You need to join your two tables together since you have one table for all your revenue and another for your HDM revenue. Try something like this:
select `a`.`Date`, SUM(`b`.`HDM Revenue`) / SUM(`a`.`All Revenue`) FROM `a` LEFT JOIN `b` ON `a`.`Date` = `b`.`Date` GROUP BY `a`.`Date`
Re: How to add percentage in the pivot table?
Hi @ndldty, you can create a beast mode for % of total by using a window function, for example:
Sum('Value')
/
Sum(Sum('Value)) over ()

Re: Beast mode difference shows blank even when using coalesce
This is where I would turn to using Magic ETL. You can use the Rank & Window tile to easily do the Lag and partitions. You could also join it again itself to create a list of sales people and list of years so that there are no gaps, and then do the rank and window work.
Re: Using date values for both x-axis and y-axis in chart
Hi @Jaketh13 , I took your recommendation and cast the date into varchar in tSQL before bring in DOMO. After doing this and put this varchar date on y axis, DOMO shows me nothing. Any idea why it doesn't work?
Re: Confused about the difference between pages, dashboards, and Domo Stories
In Domo a Dashboard is synonmous with a Page. A Card is synonymous with a chart / object on a page.
Pre 2019, Pages were organized into Collections of Cards.
In 2019, Domo developed a new feature called "Stories" and "Layouts" simultaneously in two different departments. They took the best of both features and created the feature referred to as "Stories" which is the more structured dashboard layout most of us are familiar with today.

IMHO Domo could tighten up on the language they use to talk about features in their product, but hopefully that all makes sense.
Re: How to add percentage in the pivot table?
For % by category, you would use:
over (partition by Category) in the above formula.
You'll need to check with your Customer Success Rep if that feature is enabled for you.

It's a feature switch. Talk to your CSM or email support@domo.com
