Re: Pivot Table Subtotal Control
YES - this can be super frustrating. I've had to exclude columns from subtotaling because the beast mode aggregation isn't appropriate for the subtotal aggregation!
Re: Display Row count at every step in Magic ETL
Love this idea! I always have to put output datasets just to check row count when I am troubleshooting to make sure I did not blow up a join.

Re: Display Row count at every step in Magic ETL
This would also be helpful to see as an additional column in the run history so we can compare "Rows Processed" to "Output Rows" at each step.
Re: Display Row count at every step in Magic ETL
Right, in the preview - maybe right here.
I want to know how many rows are contained in the step. So if I have 1000, I blow it up to 2000 on a join, but then land with 500 due to a group by -- just tell me that in the header of each tile after I run a preview. If 500 is what I wanted, then I'm happy.
Re: How do I format?
You can keep your y-axis as count, but change your chart type to the 100% stacked bar. It is found under the vertical bar chart type. This will get your items to add up to a 100%.
Re: Trying to Count the number of Appointments in my data
So if "Invoices marked 'No Code' in Appt Text, '0' in Bay Code, and 'No Bay' in Bay Text indicate that that invoice did not have an appointment", does that mean that all other invoices have an appointment? If so I'd just do an evaluation against those specific contents to give you a unique count of the 'Invoice #' field.
COUNT(DISTINCT CASE WHEN CONCAT('Appt Text','Bay Code','Bay Text') NOT LIKE 'No Code0No Bay' then 'Invoice #' end)
(you could customize that concat however you like or add combinations to exclude other attributes that would indicate no appointment)
Dataset Alerts without Data Change
Hello,
Dataset alerts are triggered if a row is added, updated, or deleted. However, I'm looking to get alerts based on the data, even if the data hasn't changed. Here is the use case:
- All active projects are updated in a Domo dataset with a "Due Date" field
- Data import is set as "replace" instead of "append" even if there are no changes to any of the fields (I'm not sure if Domo considers this as a row added or no change if all the fields are the same)
- I want to trigger an alert if the "Due Date" is in the past.
In this case, the "Due Date" or any other data field hasn't changed, but the comparison date has increased. Is there a way to set up such an alert using Domo?
Re: Trying to get card that shows the row count that is shown in the data warehouse
@apritchett & @Billobi Note that the Domo Governance datasets only allow once/day scheduling, so if you are running the Governance dataset overnight for example it would not capture any rows that have been added throughout the day
