Re: Field Use Export
@renee12345 Yes, you can use the "Card Fields with Beast Modes" report from the Domo Governance connector. It will tell you which fields are used on each card.
Re: how do you calculate the age (in months) using the date of birthday?
Another approach would be to use the PERIOD_DIFF function, something like:
period_diff(date_format(CURRENT_DATE(), '%Y%m'),date_format(`INFANT'S DETAILS:\nDate of Birth`, '%Y%m'))
I'd advise you to try both, put them side by side and then compare a few examples to what your expected number would be, so you can get the one that works closer to how you'd manually do so.
Re: Group By feature at the card level
Using subtotals in a table will allow you to make it look like you are grouping your data, especially in a pivot table. You can also utilize Fixed functions to help you calculate amounts similar to a group by wihtout having to use an ETL.

Re: dynamic date associating
I would need to test this out, but ideally, you could solve this with a variation on @MarkSnodgrass word cloud example (YouTube link), and after exploding to have one row per each associated ID, plus one row for the unassociated version, where you'll Join the data from the associated IDs (only the field you care for), then use a GroupBy tile to get the MAX of the dates for them. This should theoretically work … whether it'll be fast or efficient since you mentioned IDs will be associated with upwards of several hundred IDs that's a different story. Also this approach will only work assuming you only care about direct associations as you mentioned in a comment before.
Re: Group By feature at the card level
Hi Rutakale, have you tried a beast mode using CASE function? You can group by your custom categories you create then apply metric to fill the categories like you want.
Re: HeatMap Chart Colored by Columns
This is a no-brainer. This is how all cohort tables are formatted.
Re: WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU: Where do you go for information for and help with Domo?
Hi Anna, I always start with the knowledge base. :) 9 times out of 10 it answers my question, if I can't find the answer I search the forums to see what the experts have to say.
Re: How do I remove the 'Total' row from a data import?
If there is some way to uniquely identify that row, then you can do as you suggested and use the filter tile in Magic ETL. There are two ways to filter rows using the tile, with a formula rule or with a filter rule. Here is a knowledge base article that walks you through how to use it:
If you still can't get it, please post a screenshot of the configuration of the filter tile.
Re: Can I use a workflow to change the default date on a dashboard once a month?
Not sure if you could do this, but there are probably easier solutions. You could make a beast mode that says if it's the first of the month, show the prior month, else show the current month.
