Re: Bullet chart color rule
@DavidChurchman - I really like this trick. How about maybe point up or down based on budget?
- Up arrow: ↑ (Unicode:
U+2191)
- Down arrow: ↓ (Unicode:
U+2193)
- Up-pointing triangle: ▲ (Unicode:
U+25B2)
- Down-pointing triangle: ▼ (Unicode:
U+25BC)
Re: Bullet chart color rule
Wow, that's a really clever approach @DavidChurchman. I did not catch that it was a bullet chart vs a horizonal bar.
Re: Workflows Form Error: Assignee does not have update content access to queue
Nate - thanks for sharing your experience. I will make sure that engineering sees this.
Re: Filter Month based on Last working Day
As I understand your question, you want to filter your card to the month that the last working day is in. This is a great use case for a nested beast mode as it makes it much cleaner to look at. Here is what I would do:
Create a beast mode called LastWorkingDay with a formula that looks like this:
/* If today is Sunday, subtract 2 days /
CASE WHEN DAYOFWEEK(CURRENT_DATE()) = 1 THEN
DATE_SUB(CURRENT_DATE(), INTERVAL 2 day)
/ If today is Monday, subtract 3 days /
WHEN DAYOFWEEK(CURRENT_DATE()) = 2 THEN
DATE_SUB(CURRENT_DATE(), INTERVAL 3 day)
/ All other days, subtract 1 day */
ELSE
DATE_SUB(CURRENT_DATE(), INTERVAL 1 day)
END
Save and validate and then create a new beast mode that looks like this:
CASE WHEN LAST_DAY(dt) = LAST_DAY(LastWorkingDay) THEN 'Include'
ELSE 'Exclude'
END
Drag this into your filters and set to Include. Also, sent your date range filter last 2 months, which will keep future dates out automatically.
The first function checks to see which day of the week it is and subtracts the necessary days from the current date.
The second function uses that date and compares it to the date from your dataset (dt) and checks to see if they are in the same month and year by using the LAST_DAY function.
Hope this helps.
Re: Revert Sort Icons Update in Card Analyzer
I agree. Did a few double-takes and mis-clicks with these new icons
Re: Domo create react app not populating with the Domo specific scripts.
Tried with yarn instead of npm and it gave me an error until I put quotes around "@domoinc", don't know which one fixed it but it is working now.
Re: Magic ETL Question: Rank and Window and Filter
Agree with John. Before your rank, add a filter tile and choose formula and use this formula:
RIGHT(`ACAD_PLAN`,2) = 'BS'
For those using Domo Workbench with Quickbooks Enterprise, how do you deal with modal dialog boxes?
Intuit login, errors pertaining to the qbsdklog.txt file, etc…we are getting multiple errors every single day which hang up all of our Workbench jobs. How does everyone else deal with these? We have implemented a Power Automate script on our servers housing our Workbench jobs, but some of the dialog boxes, particularly the Intuit login, have been a real nightmare to deal with.
Thanks in advance!
Re: Add Distinct Count to Summary Number
@MarkSnodgrass great feedback. Our team is looking into adding this in the future.
Re: Extract multiple sets of numbers from a single string
If they're always in the same position with the same ' - ' separator you can use SPLIT_PART
SPLIT_PART(`string`, ' - ', 7) SPLIT_PART(`string`, ' - ', 8)
