Re: View as user or view as role
@JasonAltenburg great idea! I have a testuser@domo.com account I use for this specific thing, but it's limited. Would be so much better if we could do as you describe.

Re: Request Access Button
We have this exact same need. Buzz is disabled in our instance as well.
Dashboard Default Filter View not shown with Scheduled Report
We'd like to include the default Filter View of a dashboard when scheduling the page as a report, so that the primary column filters are available as shown in the screen capture below.
However, when someone clicks on the received email they see the Close Report / Save Filters to Report options and the default filters are not shown. Once the 'Close Report' button is selected, the default Filter View does display as expected.
We've tried to edit the scheduled report to Save Filters to Report but we want the filters to be unselected. I realize we could add these 2 filters as card filters on the page, but had been trying to rely more on the Filter Views - they work fine when using the dashboard outside of the Scheduled Report option.
Any insight or suggestions would be appreciated!
Re: Cumulative Total Measures
I just got time to try things out a bit, and while at the DATA TABLE level the calculation seems to be working as expected, returning only 5 rows, the visualization is creating additional rows not in the Data Table, might be worth bringing this up to Domo Support.
Re: How to fill-down nulls from earliest instance of non-null value?
The flow consists of the following:
1. Add Formula. New column name: "Row Number", Formula: ROW_NUMBER()
2. Rank & Window. Order by "Row Number". No partition columns. New column name: "ID Count", contains Count of "ID" from Unbounded Preceding to 0 Following.
3. Filter. Condition: ID Is Not Null.
4. Join #2 to #3. Type: Inner. Equality condition: "ID Count" to "ID Count". Resolve column name conflicts by dropping ID from the #2 side and dropping all other columns from the #3 side.
5. Select or Alter Columns to get rid of "Row Number" and "ID Count" and to reorder columns, if desired.
Explanations:
#1: Rank & Window requires that we sort on something, but we want to keep the data in their original order. Since there is no sequential column in the example data, we must create one. Add Formula has a function ROW_NUMBER() which fulfills this purpose.
#2: The Count function from Unbounded Preceding to 0 Following is a "Running Count". This will increase whenever we encounter an ID that isn't null, otherwise it will remain the same. This is useful to us because it gives us a value in common between every row and its last row with a non-null ID.
#3: This becomes the "lookup table" of "ID Count" to "ID"
#4: This joins all our rows to their corresponding row in the "ID Count" to "ID" lookup table. We just need to be careful to preserve the "ID" column from the lookup table (#3) and all our other columns from the main table when we do duplicate column resolution.
#5: We produced some "utility columns" along the way, and the Join may have put our "ID" out of place (depending on where it is supposed to be). An Alter Columns could be used to simply drop the unwanted columns, or a Select could accomplish both the removal of unwanted columns and the reordering of desired columns.

Re: Can I schedule DomoStats jobs to run an advanced schedule, ie, every hour, etc.?
You can also trigger them on your own schedule from a server or using windows scheduler and the CLI.
Re: Python
Hi @user052846
You've got the basic idea of what needs to happen however the one issue you have is that you're not writing back out a DataFrame object but rather an Index object. If you're wanting to export your index you need to convert it to a data frame using the to_frame() method first before attempting to write it back out to Domo.
index_o = acceptValFrame.index df = index_o.to_frame() write_dataframe(df)
The simple synopsis of the python tile is essentially
- Import Dataframe from Domo as a pandas DataFrame object
- Do Python / pandas stuff to the dataframe
- Export pandas Dataframe to Domo.
This isn't really a Domo related issue but a pandas / Python issue. I'd highly recommend looking at the official pandas documentation (https://pandas.pydata.org/pandas-docs/stable/index.html) to get an understanding of how pandas works. There are also lots of pandas tutorial videos on YouTube as well if you're more of a visual learner. If you're more of a hands on type of learner you can utilize websites like datacamp.com
Re: How to Modify PDF output?
Hey @Serena_Verma! New PDF reporting was announced at Domopalooza last week. It isn't currently available but it is in the product team's roadmap.
