Re: Does the DomoStats Consumption Datasets count towards our Credit Consumption?
Our account team confirmed that it does count towards our credit usage, and I agree that it seems questionable to charge for the data we have to use in order to monitor and reduce the credits we'll be charged for. And the datasets with history will accrue credits at a faster rate, since the number of rows can be quite large.
While we can schedule it to update less frequently, that doesn't seem like a great solution, especially if we need to closely monitor our usage.
Re: Dataset Scheduling Customization Options
I had this same issue but with hundreds of datasets. I ended up triggering my refreshes outside of Domo by setting up an AWS Lambda that uses Domo APIs to:
- Pulls a list of all datasets that need to be refreshed (this is just a DomoStats report that I filter to type = aws-athena in the script)
- Runs through a loop to get the stream IDs for each of those data sets and then run the stream refresh API for each.
Not if anything like that is feasible for you but thought I'd mention it just in case. I spent several hours banging my head against the wall for this same reason! It would be great to have this be a built-in capability.
Re: Form pop up button filter interactions
This is a great, nuanced question about App Studio’s filter interactions! You’re noticing that when you open a form in a pop up via a button, the filter value from your dashboard’s dropdown isn’t being passed into the form’s dropdown as it is when the form is embedded directly on the dashboard. This is a common scenario as users want a seamless experience between dashboard filters and pop-up forms.
Currently, App Studio’s pop up forms do not automatically inherit filter context from the dashboard or parent page. The filter value selected on the dashboard does not get passed into the pop up form by default. This is a known limitation, and several users have discussed workarounds and requested this as an enhancement in the Domo Community.

Andrew Chaffin at Argo Analytics has a solution that exports out ETLs and converts them to SQL. You may want to reach out to him.

Re: News on the New Semantic Layer/Model feature
Hi @DuarteSilva , I believe it will be deployed in Alpha later this week. Reach out to your Domo CSM for more details.

Re: Is there a native way to review and approve form submissions in a table format?
Workflows have form starts built in and a queue system that can be used for approvals called Task Center. Those tasks can then continue along the workflow based on the response.
