Re: Syntax Error
@Stucker The formula should already account for both of those criteria.
This checks whether the Session_Date_c field has the same month and year as today's date:
case when MONTH(Session_Date_c) = MONTH(CURRENT_DATE()) and YEAR(Session_Date_c) = YEAR(CURRENT_DATE())
For each row that meets the above condition (having a session date this month), it returns the X12_Month_Scheduled_Review__c field. Rows that do not meet the condition return a null value.
then X12_Month_Scheduled_Review__c end
Rows where X12_Month_Scheduled_Review__cis null are NOT counted in the COUNT() function, so the result of the entire formula should only include rows where both criteria are met.
If you formula is not calculating as expected, then it's possible that the X12_Month_Scheduled_Review__c field contains empty strings instead of null values, in which case you can add an additional condition to your formula:
count(case when MONTH(Session_Date_c) = MONTH(CURRENT_DATE()) and YEAR(Session_Date_c) = YEAR(CURRENT_DATE()) and X12_Month_Scheduled_Review__c <> ''then X12_Month_Scheduled_Review__c end)
Re: USPS API / Domo App? Need to Track Package Status Updates In Domo
An “api” is a programming interface. Think of it as a program that sits waiting to give you information. When your system contacts their api, your request is asking for updated information. The api responds with the information requested
Its appears the usps api is communicating with XML. XML is a mark-up tagged language. Meaning its formatted with fields enclosed in <>. There is a start and a stop. The stop is indicated with a slash.
Example:
<message>
<header>This Is My Heading</header>
<body>This is my body text.</body>
</message>
Typically when you call an api, you must have a security authentication setup so the api knows who you are and confirms you are acceptable to receive the data.
My connections to api communicate with JSON. I am not familiar with Domo connectors to this type of api. It might require a custom connector. Domo does include ways to parse XML and convert the information into a dataset or JSON.
Another way to solve the problem would be to connect to the usps api with your own utility program and have the program write the response to an output file which Domo could import and work with.
Re: Sumo Card
No Sumo cards are still used and can load more data easier than the pivot table but the don’t have as many features. Also Sumo tables are how you can read encrypted data. That’s not possibly with the pivot table. Short answer is that sumo tables are still around and have uses.
Re: Is there a way to create a dark or black border around a card?
I tryied and they said no, they want the Company logo that has the white background.
I was just hoping there would be an option to put a border around the cards
Re: Percent Change Beast Mode Calculation
How is your data structured? That will determine how to proceed with a beast mode.
Typically when I’m working with periods comparisons I’ll establish a date dimension table to get different periods easier. I’ve done a write up on this which you can find here: https://dojo.domo.com/main/discussion/53481/a-more-flexible-way-to-do-period-over-period-comparisons#latest
Re: Is there a way to create a dark or black border around a card?
@DanielShurina690 - I think your only option currently would be to try to create the visual using a DDX brick. However, this would be a good feature request to add.
Magic ETL hydrating error
Hello,
Wondering if anyone has encountered an error like this before and know what it means? (other than that the action is thirsty)
Re: How do I get embed to update the dashboards with user input?
Just to make sure we understand what the setup is, are you embedding this with the idea that users can input data into your app to update the data on the dashboard? Or are you attempting to allow users to input filter data to look at specific slices of your data?
