Re: Trailing Totals Deep Dive
@marcel_luthi they key to consecutive days is to add the Domo Dimension Calendar which has a row for every day. Joining your data to that will ensure consecutive days.
Re: Using Magic ETL to extract a substring using Regex and excluding remaining strings
@NDoyle ,
Glad it helped! I know the stubbornness route well so wanted to save you a headache.

Re: Using Magic ETL to extract a substring using Regex and excluding remaining strings
You'd need to do it in a formula tile instead of the replace text tile with something like this:
CASE WHEN REGEXP_REPLACE(`Project Name`,'^.*\b(AR-\d{5})\b.*$','$1') <> `Project Name` THEN REGEXP_REPLACE(`Project Name`,'^.*\b(AR-\d{5})\b.*$','$1') END
or alternatively:
CASE WHEN REGEXP_LIKE(`Project Name`,'^.*\b(AR-\d{5})\b.*$','$1') THEN REGEXP_REPLACE(`Project Name`,'^.*\b(AR-\d{5})\b.*$','$1') END
Re: Is there a way to "lock" the beast mode with in another beast mode?
I have heard that the functionality you are looking for is coming. At this time, when you select a beast mode to include in a subsequent beast mode, it just inputs the formula, as you have seen. I didn't see this in the most recent release notes, but I am told that this functionality is getting ready for testing.
Re: Standardizing Names
You'd need to do a cartesian join on your dataset with your mapping dataset, apply the rule, and then reduce your dataset back to the original size.
Start by adding a new column called Join Column with a value of 1 to each your input dataset and your mapping dataset.
Join these two datasets together on the new join column.
Use a formula tile to calculate the new grouping:
CASE WHEN `insurance_company` LIKE `SearchString` THEN `Reclass` END
Then feed that into a group by, grouping by your identifier field and selecting the max of the formula to get the actual mapping.
Take that output and join it back to your original dataset.
Re: Variable Control Title and Descriptions - Ability to Format Text
@MarkSnodgrass agreed! Sorting is a huge pain because it’s manual and requires you to delete and recreate, even the option to click and drag would be great!

Re: How to exclude/filter out based on 2 dates
You'd need to check your group by clause, make sure you're not including the Wipe Date (BOD) nor the Forecast Due Date as the section that Identifies the grouping.
Just after the group by the number of entries should go back to the same number as your original dataset.
