Domo Cards using Variables - Are they bugged right now?
I have a few cards that use Variables in them. Yesterday it seemed that they weren't properly loading filters on the side of the card. This morning they have fully broken. I have tried re-building two of the cards from scratch but whenever a Variable is used the card and/or filters will no longer render properly.
Relatedly, what would the best way to see if this an issue across the entire platform?
Re: Enable pfilters for Variables
This is a must! And then also pass the variable as filter to OnFilterUpdate() in Domo (DDX) Bricks.
Re: Enable pfilters for Variables
100% agree here. pFilters for variables and for OnFilterUpdate() would be HUGE and go a long way towards more dynamic and reusability of cards/dashboards.
Re: Unable to delete PDP policy in a dataset using API
Are you attempting to delete the all rows policy? What is the filter logic for your PDP you’re removing?
Re: Card Sharing Governance Data?
There is a Domo Stats dataset called "Card Permissions". It has who the card has been shared with as 'entityId' You'd have to create a dataflow to join the People Domostats dataset to uncover who those people are. Additionally, if the card is shared with a group, the Group ID will be shown instead of each individual userId so you'd also have to join that data as well - but in the end you'll have a dataset that shows every cardId with each user it has been shared with.
Re: Need help mimicking recursion with partitioned datasets
Good Morning Jim,
In our experience, we have found that Domo does interfere with that type of ETL loop.
You could create a recursive dataflow that would run the last 7 days. The output of your recursive could then go into your partitioned dataflow.
The de-duplicating logic would happen in the recursive dataflow. The recursive dataflow would also have to protect the partitions' integrity, ensuring no stray records or partial partitions exist.
Hope this helps!

Re: Faceted Bar Chart Labels
You can do something like this with a Symbol + Stacked Bar chart
You can also just view it for a single time period:
Re: Domo Search API?
404 is the not found error. From the documentation, it seems Domo Bricks currently only supports getting data through either the SQL Endpoint or the Data Endpoint, not the Search one you're trying to leverage here. You might be able to work around this if you can use a different library to perform the call to the search endpoint, but no clue on how to do this.
Re: Making your DDX HTML Brick transparent
you can also use background-color: #11ffee00;
that is the hex code for transparent, the when you set the card background as transparent on the page set up, it will just show the page background
