Re: "Department" Attribute. How can I remove ones that no longer exist in our organization.
Once removed from all users in Domo, that department will no longer appear in the drop down list. It will remain if it is the department of any user in your instance.
"current year, current month" and "previous year, current month" Beast Modes
Hi,
I'm trying to create a 'current year, current month' and 'previous year, current month' beast mode.
To this point I have created a current year to date but am not sure of the syntax. I have watch multiple videos and have searched high and low through domos resources.
Any help with the syntax would be helpful
Here is the beast mode that we have that works for the 'current year to date' and previous year to date:
case when year(`Transaction Date`) = year(CURDATE()) then `amount` end
Case when Year(`Transaction Date`) = Year(curdate())-1 then `amount` end

Re: Reduce blank space in dashboards
Two solutions that don't really solve your issue but might help. Using column widths, you can set the amount of width for a column. This includes making some fake filler columns. The other way is to use html table with a setting for padding. When I was looking for border styles, I came across a post talking about removing borders. The solution showed an html table with html code for padding. I never tried it myself, but that might work.
Re: Beast Mode
First your Denominator is not really the same as your Beta formula, the main difference is that in the Beta formula, when LOCID is N you are not doing any sort of aggregation, but you do this on the others. First I'd update the Beta formula to match exactly what you have in the denominator, applying the SUM outside the CASE statement so it'll always be an aggregation function and see if this changes the value that you see there, the other difference in it is that you're also using a case for when the value is S in the denominator that is not in your Beta formula. Try this and see if the numbers are still not closing.
Also make sure you're not rounding the numbers of decimals displayed in the table. Since if you've selected Beta to show no decimals, then the 8 you see in the table, might actually be something around 7.57, which does yield a result of 926. If you need to work with rounded numbers you'll need to add the ROUND function to your Mas beast mode.
Re: Pfilters
Domo changed their KB site, so that link no longer works as you found out. Here is an updated link where you can find the Domo Documentation.
