Putting this out there for any future users, but I was looking at some of my datasets and it seems to have still not been working correctly. I've gone through the Recursive so many times, my head is spinning.
BUT, I think I have found a much easier alternative with the recent Domo update of "Rank and Window". By appending a historical dataset with a newer data pull, I set the two tables to join in a Magic ETL. After, I ranked based off of the unique record ID, and then the SystemModDate in descending order. Then I brought in a Remove Duplicates based on the unique record ID, and I'm left with the most recent record in my dataset.

I might also add that it would be nice if there were also a message before any changes to the card could be saved. Something like "The changes made will impact multiple locations where this card is used". If possible, even list the different pages that the card is on.

I use window functions all the time in redshift, but can't use them in MySQL because they weren't introduced until version 8.0
Domo Governance - Add Chart Type to Card Dataset
It would be very useful to have the actual chart type that is being used on a card as an additional field in the Domo Governance/Domo Stats cards dataset. It would allow users to see which chart types are being used the most, or be able to easily locate a card of a particular chart type when they are wanting to recreate a similar look for another card.
Add collapsible sections to "new" dashboard pages like the "old" standard pages
When I first started to learn DOMO about a year ago, the training took us through the "old" standard pages and their collapsible sections (you could give a label and it had a "+" to expand or collapse).
I loved this feature.. please could we add it to "new" dashboard pages as well..

You can use the ERROR function to cause the dataflow to error out with a specific message in a formula tile.
CASE WHEN `Number` < 0 THEN ERROR('Number is negative') END
The one caveat to this is that you have to save the ETL immediately after you enter this formula otherwise if it attempts to validate your ETL it won't allow you to save the ETL so if you need to make future changes you may need to remove the ERROR function, make the changes you need then add the ERROR function back and immediately save the ETL.
